  • Noll said to Glanville," your f****** guys coming in and jumping in are gonna get your a** in trouble...JUST KNOW THAT..I'M SERIOUS!!"

  • Glanville was a joke of a coach, that's why just two years later, Noll got him fired when the underdog Steelers bounced the him and the Oilers out of the playoffs.

  • Glanville should of punched Knoll....Knoll is a HYPOCRITE.......wah wah wah.....His Steelers were cheapshot artists that got away with it. I'm glad that Jack Tatum & Atkinson of Oakland knocked out Swann. Eye for Eye, tooth for tooth I say!

  • @xxchinookxx ''Glanville should of punched Knoll.''

LOL he wasn't that stupid. Knoll played line in the old brutal NFL. But yeah, the old 70's Steelers were rough and tumble, occassionally dirty

  • I do miss those days of the NFL, Oak vs Pitt- Wash vs Dal, Minn vs L.A. Rams etc.

The 1975 AFC Championship, The 1975 NFC Divisional (Hail Mary).

1980 season was a good NFL season

  • Noll deserves all the accolades for being a great coach, but however this is a moment of the Pot calling the Kettle black.

  • @SFFOOL76 Noll also complained about the Raiders during the '70s. Noll was quiet whenever Steeler opponents took hits--legal and otherwise--from Steeler defenders, but when other teams dared to knock the stuffing out of Steeler offensive players in return, he always had something to say about it. Noll was a great coach, but kind of a hypocrite when it came to physical (and dirty) play.

  • @threeby8887 Noll only complained about hits after the whistle. The Raiders use to kick you when your down and fall on top of you out of bounds. No''s Steelers hit hard between the whistles, big difference.

  • Chuck Noll bitched about "dirty plays" but his teams in the 70's were known for that exact thing, what a fucking dick.

  • Glanville is just another asshole.

  • Jerry Glanville is my hero!

  • Noll wasn't one to mince words, and I would have to go with Noll if the two had come to blows. Ever see the Noll-Bednarik fight from their playing days?

  • @CoachOCB i saw bednarik on the documentary "75 seasons" talking about it....funny as hell.

  • The Oilers were jumping on the pile after the whisle blew and players were getting hurt

  • Chuck Noll got the last laugh. Won the 89 playoff game in Houston which was Jerry's last game in Houston.

  • Come on Jerry! Deck him! Noll was a washed up old coach at that time and he had no business threatening a young coach like Glanville just because his team got their asses handed to them by the Oilers.

  • Comment removed

  • @DBJetsman no they didnt. and noll wasnt washed up lol. glanville had 73 losses in his career lol and only 63 wins.

  • @DBJetsman Right!!! That washed up coach had four super bowl rings you bitch!!!!! How many did glanville win?? Go fuck your dead daddy!!!!

  • what excatly did coach noll say 2 coach glanville

  • @TXCCAM not sure about all of it but it was basically "you're gonna get your ass in trouble".he was pissed about oiler defensive players gang tackling.this from a coach whose teams were known for their nasty play in the 70's.

  • @transport00001 what a hypacrit

  • @transport00001 - First of all, his teams were not known for "nasty play" in the 70s. That would be the Raiders.

What happened was a fight broke out on the field between the two long-time rivals. Noll kept his players on the sideline from running in, but Glanville let a couple of his run onto the field and they attacked Frank Pollard (RB) from behind. That's what got Noll pissed off, and that's what he's referring to when he talks to Glanville about "jumping" his players.

  • @transport00001 If you watch even modern era football the defense gang tackles...and that's even with the new NFL PUSSY RULES PUT IN PLACE!!!! Noll was just a sore loser plain and simple.

  • @transport00001 The 70s were a different era than even 1987. The rules had changed and the Oilers were breaking them. Go to school

  • I remember when that whole incident went down(wached the highlights on NFL Primetime...the 1st season for nfl primetime was in 87 I believe...no internet back then LOL). I will always be a fan of Glanville because he brought some much needed attitude to the Oilers. Believe me, I followed them during their crap early '80 years, so Jerry's philosophy was welcomed and I loved those Oiler teams. Noll was just pissed because the Oilers weren't pushovers and an easy 2 victories every year.

  • @raydeen1 yeah,i was at that game.had season tickets...front row in end zone above the tunnel.those days were a lot of fun.

  • @raydeen1 Noll rarely said much and i watched that game live as well. The Oilers were coming in late after the play and spearing Steelers guys. I remember telling my mom about it every time it happened so I wasn't surprised by Noll's reaction.

  • KICK HIS ASS JERRY!!!
