  • such a sweet dog, I knew you were doing the right thing, people in general can be very ignorant.

  • I would've been concerned bc of his age too! He's a brave strong boy! Glad he is all better!!

  • Oh poor thing, I am glad he's feeling better, Good job Mom!!

  • I'm glad that I found this video. I saw the video of you doing the removing and cleaning, but have wondered how Maize did. Thank you for posting this and letting all of us know. BTW, beautiful dogs!

  • I am sooooo happy to see this video! I honestly found myself worried and I wondered what became of Maize. What a trooper she is!! Thank you for documenting this, btw. I know that after I watched Maize's ordeal, it was much much easier for me to deal with my own baby's abscess when I found it.

  • what a lovely pair of doggies.

  • Comment removed

  • Omg....what a cutie...beautiful

  • Hi. Has the actual video that was taken down been posted anywhere else? I would really like to have a copy of it. thanks CK44052

  • Screw YT

    What a gooooooooooood booooooooooooooooyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love it when people take care of their dogs and give them a good life. :)

  • he's a talker! :)

  • love me some Maize!

  • where is the movie white the pimpel

  • So SO cute

  • you tube is stupid. i like the video. happy for maize.

  • how could they remove. i found it interesting.

  • I guess enough people complained. . .

  • where was the video on the incision?

  • Youtube removed it about 2 weeks ago saying that it was a shock video - took them 150000 views to decide it! So annoying! It wasn't shock - it was documenting

  • YouTube sucks.

  • So human pus, horse pus and cow pus is meh but dog pus is a shock video?

  • Exactly! Ah well - what r ya gonna do?

  • Put the vidoe on live leak

  • @maizedog Any chance you can repost the vid of the incision on pop that zip dot com?

  • @maizedog

that's ridiculous. I loved that video.

  • you talk to your dogs like a retard.

  • @drocks22 dont be rude !

  • Good to see he's doing ok, funny that 7 times as many people watched the removal than watched the update.

  • he's too cute

  • what a cool doggie

  • thats great,im sooooooo glad hes better!!!:)

  • the last vid you were wondering if you should pull that stuff out, chances are it was the cyst sack and if you pulled it out it couldn't come back so unless the vet did it, it very well may come back :(

  • such a beautiful dog

  • happy hes better that was one huge mother fucker on his neck and im glad he no longer has to deal with that huge devil

  • i am wondering if the cyst came back? we had the same thing happen and it healed up and within 3 months it grew back and was bigger when it popped (and deeper).

  • So glad it healed this much. It sure looked nasty in the first video. No doubt he was a trooper for letting you take care of it. I love that he is telling his version of the story now. Give him a belly rub for me!

  • Translation: lady ill never forgive u for what u did , now go get me a bisquit :)

  • its like he was telling his said of the story n saying thanks for watching lol he so cute

  • What an amazing trooper! A cutie, too!

  • I fucking love your ugly dog!

  • what type of dogs are they?

    i want one :3

  • what a sweet boy. I'm glad he's better!

  • im glad i was a little concerned but you did a good job!

  • aww glad hes doing better...and to sit through having that huge cyst session ...sucha good boy!!

  • I love your dog, I love big dogs, I have 3

Great Danes, one is a rescue. I was amazed at how well he acted while you were draining the cyst. My girls would never be that cooperative. I have to

fight like hell just to get a pill down them.

I agree with your decision not to knock him out to drain the cyst. You have to be

careful with old dogs. wow isn't 11 old for

a Mastiff ? My first Dane died when she was 8, had cancer . I wish you and your dogs a long and healthy life.

  • im glad your dog is fine mine had something like that but it was just blood

  • aww what a happy doggie now

  • wow im glad that healed up good because that was nasty lol. He seems like a great dog im happy that he's doing better.

  • ''help me, help me escape her! help me help me!!'' that's what he's saying

  • aww, iam so happy for you! way to go!x

  • He talks so cute! Such a big baby, all better now!!

  • wow that looks so much better. Im glad your dog is feeling better and doing well.

  • It's lok like Maize saing how painfull that was.. :)

  • When ever I've had to play doctor to my animals they seem to know we're trying to help and mine have just laid there and let me take care of the problem.

    I'll bet a Vet would have the same thing to say. And doctors would like their paitents to act more like the animals ;

  • I had to do almost the same thing for my dog {terrier cross}. The things us humans will do for our fur babies...lol

  • i love you for saving that dog!

  • I'm glad your dog is alright now. 5 star mommy!

  • ur such a good mamma to your babies! cyst puss and all, you did it! :)

  • Nice to see the hound doing better

  • i'm happy 4 u and the dog.i worry when my little girl is hurting.

  • Happy Birthday, Maize!

  • i hope you understand that dog is in pain when you even lightly touch that spot....as it is healing there is a huge amount of pain .....

    just an fyi

(it could hurt up to 8weeks later

    love the doggies there...

  • aaaw Im glad he's ok

  • Beautiful dog. Great job on lancing the cyst. It was really full. I sure he felt so much better to have all that pressure removed. A boil can be terribly painful. Such a smart dig. It as if he knew you were helping him. He just sat still for you. Amazing. CK44042

  • did they have to remove a stem, I hear that these cysts will return if they don't get it all out? I know a lot of dogs get cysts I think Big Dogs get them more anyway glad to see he is healed, What did the vet do exactly after you had drained it, I bet the smell was terrible ?

  • you did a great job:) i wouldnt let them put my babies out for that either!

  • What a good dog. Lots of personality.

  • oh my gosh he is doing so well excellent job supermom!

  • Did the vet remove all that black dead skin?

  • That was a scab. It came off a couple days later and I took him to the vet to get it covered.

  • the whole thing is so disgusting yet I can't stop watching it over and over again.

  • maize looks a whole lot happier now.

  • Ah okay that was a scab instead of skin lol sorry. But they are right if it didnt burst and it got worse the poor guy could of been really toxic, temperature like no other as well.

Had to deal with a cat where its whole upper right half of its body was abscessed, cat had a temp of 104 when the norm is around 101 or 102 (depends on time of day and also if they are excited or not).

  • "Please could I buy her from you"? Really? Oh yeah, she'll sell her 11 year old dog she's probably had since he was a puppy.

My black lab is 13 years old and I have the same reservations about getting him anesthetized. You did a good job with his cyst and you remained remarkably calm while the stuff came out... lol.

  • so happy to see she is better now. Please could I buy her from you she is soooooooooo sweet. Like a big teddy bear lol

  • Good job!

  • Too freakin cute!!! I LOVE DOGGIES!!

  • Just watched the other video of the cyst breaking.

I'm glad that he is doing better! I can't even begin the pain he felt, poor guy.

Glad he has a great mom and wish you all well!

  • Okay I'll stop my soap box preaching now. I have two dogs a 4 year old Miniature pincer named Wizard and a 2 year old Jack Russell name Jerry and a 6 week old kitten named Minnie

  • I'm so glad he's feeling better. I had two Mastiffs as well, Harley and Daisy Mae. When Harley was 10 months, he somehow got a bad cut on his back and something similar to this happened. He is ok now, but it was really disgusting at the time.

    Your dogs are so gorgeous!

  • what sweet dogs. I hope you hug and kiss them every day.

  • Happy Puppy!

  • What a great dog-he seems to feel MUCH better. And you're a GREAT mom!

  • BWAHAAHAHAHHAHA, BWAWHAAAAAAAAA..........oh man....the doggy is fine and you are the greatest, no kidding.......I'll stop cryin now.......

  • AAAW~! He talks like a my grammpa's old boxer, Maggy. ^^ I am so glad he healed! What a miracle that infection didn't get into his bloodstream. Goes to show you what survivors dogs are. And how dependant they are on good people like us to love them.

All my doggies are teeny Mini Schnauzers, but I love Mastiffs, Bulldogs, Great Danes, and especially white Boxers. I cannot believe that people used to kill white boxers because they weren't the preferred color. I hate humans sometimes :s

  • horray

  • He's saying "Thanks for fixing me mom!"

  • WOW! Maize talks just like me!

    Slobbers, Mango

  • He's a beautiful dog with a wonderful spirit! So glad you were able to drain the bump and help him feel better!

  • Glad to see and hear(from him) he's doing well!

I have an 8 yr. old Lab and a 2 yr old Great Dane. If that happened to either of them I wouldn't do anything different than what you did. Don't let those critics get you down. You did fine.

  • Do you know what caused that in the first place? Glad he's better!

  • Cysts just happen at random in animals and humans. A build up of oils, or fatty tissues, or other substances.

  • YEA for maize!

  • its great to see him well......he is such a darling!!!!!!

  • Thanks for posting!

  • Glad hes ok ! Nice dog !

  • It's healed! Glad to see he's doing so well! Bowwow!!! LOL
