Cristiano Ronaldo was by far the best player in the world in the 07/08 season, thus winning the world player of the year.

To join the discussion about C.Ronaldo, well the numbers prove strong for him last year, but I don't like him that much; I think he can score because the game of Utd is very supportive towards his style; to me, Rooney is way better, and without Ronaldo he could run a little less and score more. So Ronaldo makes a good impression, but he doesn't really add as much as it seems to his teams.
