Your video was very helpful to me. I have been looking for an attractive way to decoratively wrap a section of walking cane shaft a few inches from the handle. I needed something other than the standard spiral wrap or the continuous strring of half hitches (creates a spiral of half knots down the shaft). I will be using latigo leather and placing a couple of beads on the lanyard ends (Greek worry bead style).

i preaty much did this same thing but i did it by looking at other knives the only real difference is i did out of one piece of cord and i don't have the length of cord under the wrap. i wish i did because my knife i wraped is on 1/8 stock and i can still kind of feel the edges thanks for the vid though now i know how to do it on the next knife i wrap

I don't really know why he does it with 2. I do it with one, and the only difference is is that the "ridges" kind of alternate a little. I don't think it's a big deal, and I still get the desired outcome. Guess it's just how he does things. Everyone's a little different. It's still really kool lookin', though. lol.
