  • 1% of population is gay

  • How did you get all this footage? It looks like broadcast melts, especially since there's no commentary. Either way, nice job, love it!

  • @btccfan2002 I think the uploader posted on another of his videos that it's from an Argentine TV channel which broadcast the warm-up (and other) sessions with no commentary.

  • old monaco pit look very tight. and so many people wandering around. :)

  • LIGIER-MUGEN-HONDA superb looking

  • These cars are ridiculous! (In a great way)

They're so low, they have SERIOUS stance to them.

But what I love most is the diversity, they all look like the same type of car, but none of them look the same, not like our modern F1 cars.

  • Wow id forgotten how seriously narrow track the current cars are

  • loved the old pits and circuit it was a REAL challenge back then.

  • One person is a Mika Salo fan.

  • Look how simple the steering wheels used to be at 1:00 not the button-fest they are now.

That Forti at 1:38 sounds like my mate Dave's van. No wonder it ever went anywhwere lol

  • i wish mclaren still had that red and white car livery

  • much nicer sounds than the crummy v8s we have now

  • this actualy was formula 1...nowdays its not that interresting

  • For me, the best looking cars were;

'94 Williams FW16, Rothmans sponsorship and it just looked so sleek.

    '91 Jordan 191

    '98 Arrows A19, Just black.

'96 Jordan 196, First car in this video.

'00 Prost AP03, What a beauty, but it was an utter failure on the track.

All the Marlboro McLarens from 1990 - 1994.

'96 Ferrari F310 before they raised the nose.

  • @thestaggie You liked the 1996 Ferrari? I thought it was really ugly.

    I like:

1997 Jordan with the snake Bitten Hisses

    1996 Williams

2005 and 2006 Renault. The curves on those 2 Renaults were beautiful.

    1998 Jordan. Buzzin Hornets.

    2007 Red Bull

  • @sultanabran1

The Ferrari started 1996 with a dropped nose and I thought it looked nie. But after a few races they raised the nose and then it looked like a disaster. I don't like the raised nose, I think the cars would look a whole lot sleeker with the dropped nose.

  • @thestaggie I remember. They change to a high nose at the Canadian Grand Prix where Schumacher didn't start the race. His drive shaft fell out of the back during the installation lap coming out of the pit lane.

  • Glorious noise, BUT there's only one sound better - actually being there!

  • Lovely. I have a section of the nosecone from a 1996 Ligier (Diniz) after he stuck it in the wall at Silverstone. You can also drive Badoer's1996 Forti at a small racetrack near Liverpool, if you want.

  • @ebyard With the original engine/internals?

  • I think cars from exactly 1996 were the most beautiful ones: There's the gorgeously golden Jordan with those double air intakes and the coca-cola-bottle-shaped Ferrari. Although in the same year the gorgeous Ferrari went ugly when they decided to install the upwards-tip nose...

  • Two things about those cars. So low and wide.

Todays cars just look like darts. Thats the only way to describe them. Narrow and thin. Ugly as fuck.

  • For me the 2001 Ferrari is the most beautifull F1 I ever saw, and Shumi's Jordon from 91/92 I think.

After 2002 they went kinda shit.

  • cars from 1990 to 1997 were the most beautiful in f1 history.nowdays they look like s**t.

  • TOTALY AGREE

  • @ngendro Agree 1000% - they were sleek, beautiful and pleasant to watch

  • @eloria1965 i agree to....where it wasnt all about aerrodynamics just grunt of the engine!

  • @eloria1965 Agree 100%.

  • @eloria1965

    1950-1969 looked better.

  • @eloria1965

I totaly agree with you. Not only the looks but what do you think of the sound.

In these years you could here the gearbox when they shift gears, and

the v10 engines sounds so much better then the v8 of 2010.

  • @eloria1965

    Absolutely!

  • @eloria1965 Not to mention the weak as hell V8s.

  • @eloria1965 1992 was the best year ever as far as the car itself was concerned. It may be the best year ever as far as the talent too.

  • Fantastic! When F1 cars are 2.00 mt wide...beautiful machines!

  • Echoing V10 sounds in Formula 1 , goosebumps

  • @ElGregor1944

fully agree, but I also love the V8 echoing sound too, I don't know why, but hearing the V8 those days was awesome as well

    I love it all!!!

  • I agree with everyone here that these cars look awesome. I think it all went downhill in 1998 when they changed a bunch of rules.

  • Totaly agree

  • 1996 seems like an end of an era in f1 and a new one began until now

  • I hope the FOTA series cars look similar!

  • yeah me too!!

  • Front view of Liger(Prost) is so beutifull...

  • Agreed, to me, the Jordan in gold looks so right

  • its the B195 (Benetton of 1995) ^^

  • beutifull f1 cars!!.......are we going to see cars like this in f1 again???.....well..we have the slick......is simething.

  • The ´96 Peugeot V10 sounds very much like the Hart V8

  • i remember coulthard borrowed shumi's helmet for this race, it was very confusing! ps go forti! :)

  • Huge, fat front wing and an anorexic rear wing make them all ugly.

  • this was a glorious year of F1, the cars where soooo beautiful!!soooo beautiful!!soooo beautiful!!

where did it all go wrong? I mean did anyone see the 2009 spec cars, it'll make a grown man cry

  • There the ugliest pieces of crap I've seen, and F1 Test driver Cristain Klien agrees.

  • yes, today's F1 cars suck, they're deformed....

at least the slicks are back!

  • well, at least the 09 cars are a lot cleaner, and don't have the ugly bits of aero all over them.

  • Yes please! Thanks for posting. Pep, F1 Podcast

  • Dear FIA,

Please can we have cars like these again next year????

  • It must be a TV Network from Spain or somewhere else in Latin America

What network 'n' country was that?

  • argentina man

    un pais muy tuerca!!

  • Argentina

  • FYI - Spain is not in Latin America.

  • Wait a Sec Were Forti Small Rear Wing ???

  • the forti sounds unreal

  • Ford Ed/4 "V8"

  • It is Ford Zetec R V8 3.0 litres engine as I remember.

  • Forti Ford engine.

  • Look at how much steering wheels have changed. So much buttons nowadays....

  • olivier panis wa the winnwr...impossible is nothing

  • they had awsome cars back in that time !

  • very nice video

the forti sounds very bad -

    cheap ford engine^^

  • LOL. Bring back Forti, they may of been the slowest team but they had character.

  • character?

  • character?

  • I thought that they were adorable just like Minardi! They may of always been at the back but it is nice to see private teams in F1, instead of all these super-rich teams seen in F1 these days. I used to really like Jordan but sadly they are no more.

  • oh yes

i like the Pacific and the Simtek too

  • The Tyrell Yamaha sounded very great:D

  • I still wear my 'Minardi F1 Team' cap to this day.

  • from a tv program that is called "efe 1"

I recorded this video on 1996

  • where did you get all this amazing footage from?
