only 3 schools in the state of Texas are Tier 1, Rice, Texas A&M and Texas. All three of those schools were ranked in the top 30 for the best universities in the WORLD! SMU, TCU, Baylor,and Tech are all awesome schools who are not Tier 1. Tier can be more based on spending than great academic standards. I believe that this was the loudest crowd ever at Memorial Stadium and it was totally, totally AWESOME!!! Coach Stoops called them out earlier in the week, stating that he didn't think that the crowd hasn't really been a factor in games. The fans came through on this day. A little psychological ploy from the Coach and it worked.

Actually theres University of Tulsa and Oral Roberts university that are both division 1 schools as well. University of Central Oklahoma has 15,000 students which is bigger than a lot of D-1 schools. so theres more than just 2 main universities. plus osu is not tier 1 it's tier 3. OU and Tulsa are the only tier 1 schools in OK

Someone from Tech should not be trying to talk academic smack. Tech is one of only two Big 12 schools to not be ranked in the top tier. SAD. So, take your meaningless Tech degree and go back to working at Pizza Hut. I'm sure you've seen that picture.

LOL at Tech comparing their program to ours. There is no comparison. OU has more national titles than almost everyone in college football. tech has zip, not even any BCS games. Nothing.
I loved this game as we kicked the shit out of tech and shut their ass up.

We lost to Florida for the same reason we lost all those other bowl games.....becuz our coaching sucks. We don't have the coaching for big games against big time opponents, we simply beat up on weaker teams becuz of our talent, but we usually lose to equally talented teams becuz their coaches always outsmart ours. Venables sucks as a defensive coordinator, and Kevin Wilson ain't no genius either. He can't come up with plays against real defenses. Stoops=great recruiter, mediocre coach.

I don't understand how you can come talk crap about OU's bowl game and say they got "PWNED" when TT lost their bowl game to a lesser opponent by a larger margin. Really how does that work?? The only difference is OU actually had a chance to win theirs and only lost cause of a couple of unlucky bounces.

I have been to many games in this stadium but I have never seen nor heard this crown as juiced as it was on this night. By far the greatest football atmosphere I have ever been a part of and will remember this night for the rest of my life. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

I believe that this was the loudest crowd ever at Memorial Stadium and it was totally, totally AWESOME!!! Coach Stoops called them out earlier in the week, stating that he didn't think that the crowd hasn't really been a factor in games. The fans came through on this day. A little psychological ploy from the Coach and it worked.
