my sister used to hang out with the owners son. I won't go in it. I live about 10 minutes from it and it freaks me out. They had a investigation years ago and a lot of freaky shit happened on camera. No thanks!!

Yeah, I posted the coat pulling fraud video on my page. I have to say I am disapointed in TAPS, if everything I have been hearing is the truth. But I guess with all these other shows starting up and faking a bunch of crazy stuff, they figured they better start coming up with something too. It's a shame, my group just does this for fun, not fame, and I really am just want to know what ghost really are, if the can communicate, and why are they able to make contact? BSP.... I actually stayed at a campout at McPike Mansion and got some great pictures with faces in the upstairs windows. Lost them about a year ago but it was a great stay and this place will be great once the Luetz's get enough money out of the many ghost hunters who freeze their butts off in late October. Looks like you guys are trying to be the midwest Taps but it a shame that they are now known frauds with the coat tugging incident, the door closing incident, the K-2 manipulation, etc. etc.

Actually they still do give tours at the house. If you go to their web site , you can get the times.

i love that mansion. my mom and i were going to go to a tour in it and we found out that they dont do tours any more :| im also a phykick (srry of my spelling, im in the 7th grade) and my power is to see and here spirits and/or entities. i helped a 86. year old women go to heaven just last month... it was weird to get her info but it payed off. and btw St. Louis RULES!!!!

Yep, we looked al over the place and had cameras running allover the house . The only think we say moving around the place were a couple of mice. Plus the sound came from right in the middle of the room. Thanks for the comment.

The McPike mansion is certainly haunted, but it may not be the McPike's who are actively haunting it. Other spirits may have moved into the house.

I wouldn't own that thing for anything......its nasty.

The mansion is currently being restored by the owners. However it will cost over 2 million to restore it, so it is a very slow go.

My uncle had actually owned that house at one time, but aparently had to sell it for some reason or another. I live about thirty minutes away from the mansion, in one of the oldest houses in My town, we have strange things happen all the time. The house is 130 years old and use to be a nursing home. I am going to spend the night at McPike this Saturday night. It's totally safe, the upstairs isn't in that great of shape, but the place that you get to go in is.

No one but friends have listened to this so far, and even they have chosen not to hear it again. I feel I should release it, but the christian in me says let it die. Afterall, the bible does not deny the supernatural, but it does warn us to stay away. My advise to all of you is to heed the warnings stay away from McPike.

BiState, Out of all the times I have hunted around, I have kept all my audio/video/pics. McPike was the only time in my life I felt obligated to destroy the footage. Anyone who knows me, knows I don't destroy anything I capture. But in this case I did. All except one 4 second audio from out back. The clip was captured next to the dog house attached to the house and is chilling, clear, and authentic.

I was on the third floor of McPike and other than some plastic rustling and some wood falling from what was probably the wind, nothing really happended upstairs.

Elizabeth is on the third floor. If you walk up to her and you're unwanted, she'll push you down. Caretaker says she's a hugger. She has a brother who hangs out back and pranks you ghosthunter guys (check your audio and feel for cold spots). He also tags you with his orb all night. (When you're tagged in a photo bad things happen). Best thing for ya is just to stay away from McPike.

my mom was tagged by the boi n a pic 1 nite and the next day the camera(polaroidinstant pics or w/e) and the nxt day the pic wus wut looked2 be caught on fire and the camera wuz nvr found (they stayed the nite),and also all of there stuff n a bag dissappeared except 4 a cross

Around 5:20 it kind of sounds like, "Get out." It might not be though, but toward the end of the whisper it sounds like ow, like ou-t. And perhaps there was alot of heavy breathing because they may have been mad.

Haven't tried to get in there yet. I am always up for an investigation, only I am finding it harder and harder to get into alot of these places without being charged some crazy amount of money. Its not like I am getting rich off of ghost hunting.

This place still creeps me out, but it would be nice to see it fixed up. I hate to se it in such dilapidated condition. The house is a nice looking place, aside from the creepiness.
