@infrared337 best think to do study for a year ( save up for all those trips AM BBQ and all) read students AM blogs follow what they are doing, start out with something simple as a ball and work your way up from that and then join AM trust me will help you a lot not only that but you will have a tone of fun travelling to cail for the events if your not from there ^^
@Gates2Aion How often did they meet? Was it in the beginning, or at graduation? I just got accepted and am very psyched. I have to wait a month for the springboard class, so another 3-4 months until the actual classes. I've downloaded the trial already, can you suggest any tutorials? Or would it be better to spend my time sketching poses? Thank you for your reply!
@jadeinshades firstly congrats when you start class 1 I'll be in class 6 so i'll get to see ya around campus :) graduation is two times a year, it depends... here in the UK AMer's meet up at the end of each class or sometimes two times per class there's other places like sigraph where people meet up which is awesome. for me overlap, spacing and timing are the most important get these right and everything will come natural it took me until the end of class 3 to understand these :)

I'm very new to animation and maya, but I want to try and advance myself as much as possible before springboard. I don't start class one until December for the character animation. @jadeinshades hmmmm if you like to over studying get a drawing tablet and use that instead of a mouse it takes some time to get used to but once you do you can never go back i got RSI throughout class 2 and it effected my work, I couldn't even crush a empty coke can or move my fingers when you start class 1 I'll be in class 6, right now I'm almost done in class 4 another thing is do not be shy when you are asked to film yourself at the end you want do some awesome work for your reel :)
@Gates2Aion I don't think I'll be too shy, gonna go tomorrow and get a camcorder. I already bought a tablet. Intuos 4 small, but have only used it for 2d. You found it more useful than the mouse for maya? It definitely takes time getting used to.

did u model this character in maya?? and plz if the answer yes.how did u?? am beginner and think this whole thing is hard but i really love animaiton and modeling and rigging all of this stuff so plz would you help me....how can i model a charcter like that.or like the charchter the animation mintor use?? i have maya 2011 only i heared i have to get zbrush or mudbox help plz and i got the adobe master collection all i need is THE RIGHT WAY TO START...thanks for this video

pretty awesome stuff man..like your demo reel very much.....1 thing i spotted was when the kid was grabing the cone of his hand..his hand was pretty dead...for about 10 - 15 frames ...you should kept it moving..very slightly but in like a circle motion..
