The longest range sniper rifle in real life is the mcmillan tac 50. it has the furthest sniper kill in history at almost 2 miles. and it all depends on your playing style which one you like better

intervention can shoot up to 2300 m accurately. Barrett can shoot like 1800m accurately and take an arm off. both guns will kill a human in the chest. so i think intervention is better because sniper rifles are for long range combat. the longer the range the better they are.

although the .50 is stronger the intervention is more accurate and reliable. it uses more highly advanced technology to zero in on the target, and the bullet being a .408 it is lighter than the .50 so in since the .408 can pack more or less grain depending on the type of the round and so it will go farther. The intervention holds the record for the longest range sniper.

@thatscheesy12 uhh no. the m82 doesnt have as much range as the m200 because the .50 has more bullet drop so it drops faster. the m200 has more range and has more power. it gains more kinetic energy than the .50 within i think it was 500 ft. so no the m200 is better

are you people serious? you're comparing two rifles based on a game? If Infinity Ward wanted, they could change a weapon completely and give it the same name as another weapon. Take the AT for example. In real life, it can't lock on but in game it can. The Barrett 50 cal is an anti-armor weapon because it can penetrate armoured vehicles. The Intervention is used as a marksmen rifle so it is used over longer sight lines.
