They used to use this same effect on the old "Batman" TV series, but they would attach a fishing line to the bottom of Batman's cape, and pull it horizontally so that on the finished vid, it would look like gravity was pulling the cape towards the ground :)

dont wear the hanging earrings when you film this, when you flip the image they hang sideways so it doesnt sell the effect. You could have a fan in front of you to blow your clothes back ( and earrigns if you want to wear them and they are light enough). just making an observation!

in after effects you are able to add a "Layer Mask", that would effect the lower layers of your video allowing you to color correct multiple tracks at once. How can I do this in Sony Vegas 8? I want to use my Red Giant Magic Bullet Looks" plug-in to effect the video I am Chroma Keying in a way that effects all the layers, including the images I am keying over my green screen. How do I color correct or add a "Layer" that effects all lower video tracks?

Hi there. Just some constructive criticism. Firstly when viewing a tutorial my expectation is that the maker is imparting their professionalism to me. Therefore you should have your camera on a tripod; the horizontal lines of the background immediately gave away that it was handheld or not lined up properly. Secondly, have you considered shooting against a green background? That way you could composite in some cityscape footage and REALLY go to town with the scene!! Just a thought.

I would just suggest that the actors should avoid wearing things that would give the trick away, for example, your earrings were quite long and somehow spoiled the trick a little. Apart from that, it was quite good. Well done.

you also could have turned the camera during filming so you wouldnt have to do it in post and it would still be 16:9. but it sucks cause you have to find the perfect things to use. like if you had a brick wall that was lying on the ground it wold look more like a building. but i got nothing around here to do that. oh but greenscreen would work too. but i dont have that either. lol
