My cousin and his wife sang this at my grandma's funeral in '89. It's a nice song.  I'm afraid this isn't the best performance of it.

Sorry but you're wrong. The lady sings low voice because she's doing the "Alto" the 2nd voice...not the melody (the man does it).

Sorry Fscarcelli, but YOU are the one in error. The lady is carrying the melody line in the chorus. She's not doing the Alto part. The man switches to the "3rd below" or baritone part for the harmony on the chorus. We really shouldn't be too quick to judge unless we are prepared for judgment upon ourselves. Right?
