this made me laugh, and then I looked at what I had replied to katalyzt and I was like oh well I'm stuck in the middle on the issue of respecting people's religion. I will say this I respect people's right to choose, how about that?
(1 Cor 13:4-8) Love is the only way to to show respect to those with beliefs(religious, or otherwise) that you can't acknowledge.
A pity that some hold a worldview without true love... only reactions. In turn, you end up seeing a lot of disrespect and hate my friend.
"You're delusional, brainwashed, idiots, too uneducated to actually know anything. I'm smarter than you, You believe in fairy tales, Scoff, scoff... but I respect you."...
here and now .. my sleeves are up if you expect validity how about you speak for yourself... post a video response explaining what you mean I'll take any stance and respond.
There is no reason why "any" religion deserves respect. With that being said; a general respect for people and/or life can, and should be given, but a respect for a person's belief(religious, or otherwise) should never be automatically given. Respect is earned.
Without love in our hearts to truly have care for people we are nothing. Thats what the bible says love is the greatest thing you can possess. A love to help people, not just cause you feel you have to but real love is actually wanting to help people with your full heart.
Jesus says to love our enemies and if someone is in need and happens to be of a different so called "religion" then we as christians must feed them. The true religion of christianity is to take care of the poor, feed the hungry, take care of the widows and follow Christ's example. Jesus hung out with those types of people to share the gospel with them in love and care. God Bless
Katalyzt:
1.) No religion/belief deserves respect.
2.) You should respect people and/or life.
3.) Respect is earned.
a.) No belief deserves respect... Ok, so we should disregard your entire comment.
b.) You should respect people and/or life... This would include respecting their beliefs. You can kindly disagree, yet maintain respect.
c.) Respect is earned...
You just said "respect for people and/or life can, and should be given...".

Hello DRJUMP,

It is not the healthy that need healed, but the sick. That is what Jesus tried to let people know.
