What do you think of the possibility that Ardi ate meat?
I'm reading The Human Story by Christopher Sloan. He wrote that Ardi was found with fossils of red colobus monkeys and small antelopes. Chimpanzees eat both of those animals today. Chimpanzees and Ardi had similar brain sizes.
@AppleSouffle It wouldn't surprise me, Ardi seems to fit into a similar ecological niche as chimps, and he was physically similar. So it'd be no surprise if he had a similar diet.

In fact there are no fossils to date that are incontrovertible. You can take the skull of a bear and the skull of a wolf, put them side by side and see many similarities even though they are completely different animals. You say evidence for creation is all around me? Where is it? I don't see a shred and there isn't a shred anywhere. I believe the "evidence" necessary to prove evolution is probably there, or was until some point. If it is, it's likely to be so eroded by time it's unrecognizable. However, until religion is proven, I'll be inclined to side with science. It seems scientists want to know and understand everything, and religious people want to relinquish knowledge (he who increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow) and leave everything in God's hands that he will sustain them. I'm just not comfortable with that.

Evolution is a process. There's no higher or lower really. There's just change. Differences.

You should research the process of fossilization to see just how difficult it is for something to be preserved. It is a rare event when you consider the vast amount of *all* life that has walked this planet.
logic would also tell you that in order for you to have a fossil the organism needs to have died in the stupidest way possible(different varieties of getting stuck in the mud). Since these creatures are either related directly our indirectly with our "thinking" species it could be safe to assume many would have avoided such deaths. Hence their rarity in the fossil record. As far as intermediate species, EVERY FOSSIL is an intermediate species between two different species. LITERALLY TONS OF 'EM!
Literally tons, you're right. But fossils aren't found by digging; there's not enough time for that. They are found when they are exposed by weathering. A perfectly good fossil, a perfect skeleton of Ardi's 1 million year old relative, for example, might exist only a foot below the base camp in the Awash basin, but it won't be found until it some part of it gets exposed by rain water and a trained paleontologist stumbles across it, just as Johansen did with Lucy. Then the digging starts.

umm not entirely true. Although the most common ancestor can be traced to Africa, it is widely accepted that there were many migrations to and from there throughout human evolution. Saying all humans came from africa is an over-simplified unscientific way of putting it for the layperson. It's like magic. They found one set of bones and voila, new missing link species. They can never find 10 similar sets of bones of the same kind. Unlike dinosaur bones where they found 10 or twenty plus whole T Rex bones, this is just one set of bones where they claimed existed before dinosaurs but yet the skeleton is more brittle than excavated dinosaur bones. This is not objective science. These same group of people thought that the dark people of africa and australia were missing links.
It's simple in fact. Numerous factors make it much easier to find Dinosaur fossils in comparison to a species such as Ardi.
1) Size. It is much much easier to find a fossil the size of your house than the size of a chimp.
2) Brains. Odds of a dinasaur with limited brain capabilities being caught in mud and left there ill to die compared of a more superior specie such as Ardi is vast.
3) Location. Early primates remains in Africa would be devoured shortly after their death while on the ground

I'm reading The Human Story by Christopher Sloan. He wrote that Ardi was found with fossils of red colobus monkeys and small antelopes. Chimpanzees eat both of those animals today. Chimpanzees and Ardi had similar brain sizes.

I believe the "evidence" necessary to prove evolution is probably there, or was until some point. If it is, it's likely to be so eroded by time it's unrecognizable. However, until religion is proven, I'll be inclined to side with science. It seems scientists want to know and understand everything, and religious people want to relinquish knowledge (he who increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow) and leave everything in God's hands that he will sustain them. I'm just not comfortable with that.

I know God exists, if for no other reason than the prophesies of these end days which are coming to pass exactly as written. There is no way DNA will morph from one species to another, if we evolved from animals why have we stopped evolving? You say the oldest modern day human discovered is 50k years old? Ok from what did a Chinese person evolve from compared to a Caucasian person, 50K years isn't near enough time for DNA re sequencing even in an evolutionary theory.

The earliest finds of homosapiens dates around 200k years back. Ofcourse they weren't excactly similar to todays homosapien, but very similar.

logic would also tell you that in order for you to have a fossil the organism needs to have died in the stupidest way possible(different varieties of getting stuck in the mud). Since these creatures are either related directly our indirectly with our "thinking" species it could be safe to assume many would have avoided such deaths. Hence their rarity in the fossil record. As far as intermediate species, EVERY FOSSIL is an intermediate species between two different species. LITERALLY TONS OF 'EM!

Literally tons, you're right. But fossils aren't found by digging; there's not enough time for that. They are found when they are exposed by weathering. A perfectly good fossil, a perfect skeleton of Ardi's 1 million year old relative, for example, might exist only a foot below the base camp in the Awash basin, but it won't be found until it some part of it gets exposed by rain water and a trained paleontologist stumbles across it, just as Johansen did with Lucy. Then the digging starts.

If you honestly think white people are really black then that would mean white people evolved from black people and therefore are higher up the evolutionary chain.

Evolution doesn't quite work like that.
The only difference between white and black skin is the speed at which melanosomes (which have melanin) are degraded. Faster degradation = lighter skin. Thats all.

umm not entirely true. Although the most common ancestor can be traced to Africa, it is widely accepted that there were many migrations to and from there throughout human evolution. Saying all humans came from africa is an over-simplified unscientific way of putting it for the layperson. But you can keep believing that if it makes you feel better about yourself or something, I'm just stating facts. I have nothing against Africans, and if new evidence shows thats ok...but this is how it is

It's like magic. They found one set of bones and voila, new missing link species. They can never find 10 similar sets of bones of the same kind. Unlike dinosaur bones where they found 10 or twenty plus whole T Rex bones, this is just one set of bones where they claimed existed before dinosaurs but yet the skeleton is more brittle than excavated dinosaur bones. This is not objective science. These same group of people thought that the dark people of africa and australia were missing links.

It's simple in fact. Numerous factors make it much easier to find Dinosaur fossils in comparison to a species such as Ardi.
1) Size. It is much much easier to find a fossil the size of your house than the size of a chimp.
2) Brains. Odds of a dinasaur with limited brain capabilities being caught in mud and left there ill to die compared of a more superior specie such as Ardi is vast.
3) Location. Early primates remains in Africa would be devoured shortly after their death while on the ground
