you wouldn't think hercules' prime line were soundcards considering the one in this sucks to high heaven and hisses/hums like crazy for most people, not to mention they give no specs for it anywhere, and the newer firmware shuts off certain analog sound mixing functions for the headphone section.

This is pretty outdated. Virtual DJ has a "sync" button now that will beat match for you. Also, look into the Pacemaker for an even more mobile system

Got this a few days ago, I'm sending it back! Buttons too close to Jog Dials, easy to accidentally catch them. I don't have to tell you how embarrassing that could be when playing out live! Does not feel like a real mixer, more like a plastic toy. Crossfader has no feel and sound quality again not as sharp as a real mixer. Very disappointed, was expecting much more. Wish I could think of a positive, but I just can't ! I'm now going with a solid Numark USB mixer at half the cost along with VDJ.

@DjKevski Hey man, I don't know what you,re using with it, but if you're a "real" DJ, like you're saying, you should have external turntable ? So why do you complain about the jog wheel when you can desactivate them and use your external table ?

I have always DJ'd with SL1200's for the last 20 years. This was supposed to be an extra option with my laptop to save me dragging records about. If I am going to use my turntables with Virtual DJ whats the point, I might as well use my Technics? And whats the point in having the Hercules if I need to disable the Jog wheels! And at what point did I claim to be a REAL DJ by the way ?

The whole software is a big joke. It crashes so often that you cannot possibly be confident enough to use it for a real gig. Maybe a home play , but never in a real club. And the support , ohh that is the best part.

@strestus VDJ is only as good as the laptop its being used on. I have a purpose built laptop just for DJ and music production. Its is completely stripped of any other software I don't need, including internet. I have never had a single problem with crashes or anything else. I've been using it for gigs for about 18 months now and its never let me down. I switched to this from Vinyl and SL210's after 20 years, just need some V7's now to complete. l agree with you about the support though !

sorry but the mix part is really sucky you can nail almost perfect sets without the use of any external remote controls i think that this console will help people who are deeper into the whole virtual dj-ing part, people who are advanced into "Virtual DJ" ! P.S. You should seriously make it bigger that small jog wheel can't do any good in scratching.

Can I link the hercules MK2 with a normal mixer?, like DJM 600 (Pioneer) and use just the jogwheels on the hercules mk2 and the effects with djm 600 and switch from deck A-->B.

And I want to use it with traktor :)

dont be a jerk, you know what. buying virtual dj and a phono to sterio adapter, plugged into a head,amplifier using a fast laptop.

Saves you atleast 1,000-3,000 dollars.

VDJ you already have 2 decks, a mixer and crates and software. of course serato is better, but not everyone can drop 1,700 on just starting out. VDJ i got for 10 bucks, plugging my laptop into amplifiers i can still scratch alright, and most def keep the party going.

all for about 10 bucks

The only way I could give it to you is if I transfer the data via email. but it is a cracked version of Virtual DJ. all you have to do is copy the data from the email and on to your laptop.
