@CathayGuy lol i wanna fly so badly....my father used to take me on flights..... but now it cost too much to rent a plane so u didn't even bother.... T.T
@desiang1 They have a new license that the FAA started 2 years ago called the Sport Pilot License. It allows you to get a daytime only, 2 seater only, license for about 20 hours of study time. SO you can only take 1 other person, but most people only do that anyways. Its 1/2 the cost of the private license to earn as well.
Pretty sure we got it for 284,500 2008 172 GFC 700 AP 6189Q out of st. pete/clearwater intl. And i know.. i have a bad habit of leaving stuff out on final... i just studied the g1000 guide it came with and one checkride, pretty easy, just a lot of buttons.
All Cessna 172sp Skyhawks come standardly equipped with a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit and autopilot system. The standard 172sp Skyhawk (equipped with the Garmin G1000 glass cockpit and autopilot system) are priced starting at $297,000.00. $400,000.00 is quite rediculous for a 4 seater, single engine, non c.s.p propeller private aircraft. The Garmin G1000 system alone costs (depending on what you customize) from $15-25,000.00

stupid aircraft, new features = danger.where are the traditional instruments, what if the avionics malfunction?i flew an upgraded plane once with traditional instruments, the avionics failed and i was lucky that the traditionals were working
looks good to me, even tho it showed he was abit high maybe he was making sure if his single engine failed he would have been well withing gliding distance from what i can tell.
very nice approach and landing guys :) great job... I am not that pilot with "million" of hours but from passengers side of view i can tell i like it :) good job :)
"TIS" not available, it's the Traffic information service. It works off local ATC, if you get low enough/ or behind mountains and loose the radio signal, it will say that. Nice feature, but kinda annoying out here flyin' in and outta the rockies!

The real cost line doesn't match the contours on the right display? Isn't that thing slaved to the DG? It looks way off.
