  • BUENISIMA ROLA..

  • still searching for " sliding floor" off of gradually going tornado. but I guess I should be grateful since two years ago , i couldn't find much of bruford on youtube. Thanks to those who post these gems.

  • @kokanee2010a

Sliding Floor is a good tune! A bit "disturbing" but I guess it's meant to be that way, like the floor was actually not steady under the feet, that tune makes me kind of dizzy in a good way, swirling way

  • where is Dave Stewart today. Are there any youtube videos of him just playing piano? i cant find anything. I really like 3:46 to 4:40

  • @rhampton1914

I havnen't seen that either, I love about everything I've heard with Dave Stewart in group settings and especially National Health. Posted "Mumps" with H&TN on Facebook today

  • @rhampton1914

Yes, I like his piano style. A bit like Lyle Mays.

  • @rhampton1914 do you know Azimuth - Azimuth 1985 with Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone and John Taylor?

Highly recommended because of the great piano parts of John Taylor, comparing to this specific piano-part of Dave Stewart you like. The searching of the Chords. Listen to Dream lost song, Breathtaking and Potion2 from that album ECM-label), hope you know it already and like it !

  • @klukkluk Azimuth are one of the all time great trios - check out Stories Yet to Tell, the new ecm release by Norma Winstone :)

  • Backing vocals remind me of Flora Purim in her days working with Chick. Something like off MusicMagic perhaps, or Crystal Silence. Great stuff, and can't believe it's been 40 years since I spun my copy of this.

    Fusion Forever!

  • @JonP1961

Yeah, I hear what you mean :-) I think it's Amanda Parsons singing here among others, she used to sing with Hatfield And The North and National Health, two of the best bands Dave Stewart was in prior to joining Bruford. I've heard most of the 70s RTF, and Amanda's voice also reminds me Flora's on the composition Return To Forever itself, from 1971 I believe.

  • @JonP1961 It isnt , its only 32 years, but what the heck, its brilliant!

  • You're a star for putting this on. What an epic track!

  • @markruthin

    A pleasure, my friend :-)
