hope you don't mind my comment, but the sound pack you have installed imo is awful compared to the original. i've seen many people have installed it, but i just can't find any similarities with real life.

great video, by the way.

a tip: if you hold down "gear up" or "gear down" while the red lights are coming, you hold the car in the line as if you had your clutch pedal in. when the lights go off, you just let go "gear up/down" and the car starts moving ;)

I have the game and recently decided to re-install it on new computer, brilliant game still nothing comes even close to this game to this day, all the others are pathetic compared to this game.

@AlienZoo1 Have you seen the C.A.R.S videos? (v= EHR6YGvnw-E) I haven't yet tried it but just watching the video at 720p and listening to the sounds give similar vibes as when I first played F1GP, the very first one in early 90's.

It's still in development so there's some bugs. Their development model is rather unique so I have no idea how it will turn out in the end but it looks pretty serious.

I don't know. It's an old game so I would guess not... but there may be a workaround or patch that enables it to work. Anyway, why not just play F1 2010?

@TorraAlta F1 2010 looks great ,but in the days of gp4 they made games not only to earn money and so physics of the old games were way better ,,f1 2010 has arcade feel

@edeka009 It's way better than EA's, however Codemasters one might become better. Gotta admit the feel of the car and the fysics of this game were close to perfect tho.

How did you managed to play so clean?

I mean when I am playing a quick race and starting it from 22nd position, in 3 laps I get 2st, I have a better speed and I dunno how to make this for everycar so I won't take them so easy. Rookie is my level... :P

@osnb yea, but back then online gaming was a rare thing even in fps scene.. and Geoff had small team and little money to but the whole game in together at all.. so there is no online code at all for it.

Most of the time I just ease off. Using the keyboard you only have 100% accelerate or 100% brake. Makes going round some corners tricky.
