The fed is a cartel. The money printing is a side show. It doesn't matter how much transparency you have, regulation of fractional reserve rates will always create bubbles whether the fed prints or not. Read the mystery of banking to understand this point. The sole purpose of the fed is to enforce maximum (not minimum) fractional reserve rates. Money printing is only done to alleviate the damage associated with regulation.
