you gotta be kidding, ballack's english is totally comprehensible and accurate. if you watch his other interviews his english is impeccable for someone who only started learning the language at 29 or 30. Cristiano and Torres are not bad but their Portuguese and Spanish accent is a bit too heavy respectively. Ballack has a strong German accent too but the the pronunciation doesn't affect his english too much.

Just from my own "empirical data" I'd say your average german guy is dark haired and around 6'4. Actually if you were to look at a random group of 100 german guys you'd probably be pretty hard pressed to find more than maybe 5 to 10 of the stereotypical blue eyed/blond haired germans.
So to answer your question: Aside from the athleticism, Ballack pretty much fits the bill, in terms of average appearance of a german male.

He's really wonderful, I think.
I'm coming from Germany like him and I know from myself that it's not always easy to find the right words in English :)
