One of the best moments in my life was sitting on a bench at Bournemouth across from Normandy, talking to an elderly man in his '80s who was there commemorating the landing at Normandy. He was a member of the horse brigade, and the statue that's there was actually his horse (he had pictures). I'll never forget him recounting that day when they landed, and riding the horses from the boats to shore in the water. Apparently he lost his horse that day, but they were both honored later.
My great uncle was a survivor of Normandy. After the war, he was an all-consuming alcoholic. He eventually ended up dying of alcohol related illness or something.

Technically Russia wasn't facing the full might of the German war machine because when Russia was invaded in 1941, the Germans were then fighting a two-front war. (3 if you count the North Africa campaign)

In case you did'nt notice, WWII had already been going on for three years. The US were quite happy to watch the death and destruction in Europe, but only joined after Pearl Harbour, because the self-centered Americans were worried about themselves. It's true, the States probably did save our lives and indeed the whole world in the end, but to say the Brits were lazy and did nothing is completely false.

Does not matter what kind of graphics, this was a awesome way to be grateful with veterans in general. The mixture between the game scenes and old pictures was breathtaking...A wonderful job to makes us remember, what freedom means an it cost.
This was a kick ass game. Too bad they released a tragedy of a game two years later...Pacific Assault. If only it had looked and played like Allied Assault
I dont know where the spanish american war comment came from. But I played MOHAA for 4 years before switching over to xbox 360 live. It was trully the best WW2 FPS game ever made. The mods, the Clans the people that played it made it amazing. Every good COD game and the few good MOH games that were came after were because of MOHAA. The way the people respected eachother shows that PC gamers are in a way better then console gamers.
I think who ever made that miltary stratigy of storming a beach head was a bad move, so meny people died. That was one of the hardest scenes to watch on the movie saving privet ryan

The bombardment of the beaches began at 6 a.m. Within an hour the lead landing craft were away from the ships.
Two hours later, the German defences at Juno Beach had been shattered and Canada had established the beachhead.
It was the 3rd Canadian rifles that made the first head way and at a high loss

Does not matter what kind of graphics, this was a awesome way to be grateful with veterans in general. The mixture between the game scenes and old pictures was breathtaking...A wonderful job to makes us remember, what freedom means an it cost.

I dont know where the spanish american war comment came from. But I played MOHAA for 4 years before switching over to xbox 360 live. It was trully the best WW2 FPS game ever made. The mods, the Clans the people that played it made it amazing. Every good COD game and the few good MOH games that were came after were because of MOHAA. The way the people respected eachother shows that PC gamers are in a way better then console gamers.

I think who ever made that miltary stratigy of storming a beach head was a bad move, so meny people died. That was one of the hardest scenes to watch on the movie saving privet ryan

Though fun to play its a historical joke, What i really hate is the hordes of WW2 games encompassing only or mostly the American part while the real war was fought by the Russians on the eastern front and the Brits also fought, its a disgrace the eastern front isn't valued by corporate western game developers, which was also the worst conflict on earth

are you fucking serious we fought the war on two fronts. The british fought the war on the ocean, very few troops going into hitlers bunk or even invading germany on foot. They had good intellegence. But they were loosing the war until who stepped in? The US. They also tried to make some stupid ass deal with germany as did the russians when they clearly seen before us they were taking over land and moving quite quickly. We are the only country who fought the war on two fronts.

the main problem for the germans was well they messed with the U.S. THE U.S. WAS THE MOST POWERFUL ARMY IN WW2 BUT THE GERMANS HAD BETTER GUNS AND ENGIERNERING .THE JAPS WERE STUPID CRAPY GUNS ,AND CRAPY PLANES EXCEPT FOR THE ZERO. ALL THEY HAD WAS MEN MEN MEN! NOTHING ELSE.

the japanese only what anybody else would do, we made an embargo on them, so they couldnt get some kind of materials. So they eventualy, said uplift the embargo or else. America just never really believed them. We knew something was going to happen, just not that.

A few years ago two parents when out for dinner. A few hours later the baby sitter called to ask if she should cover up the clown statue in the kid's room. The father said they didn't have a clown statue and to take the kids out of the house and call the police. The "clown" statue was was really an escaped killer from prison if you dont post this on 10 videos he will come to you house to night and kill you with a chainsaw. sorry this one freaked me
