Faith is the failure of free will and judgment. Believing in good feelings and happy times with Jesus is all well and good but it distracts people from what they truly need to examine, the nature of the self, others, and how we connect with each other. The Matrix wasn't based on a hokey, misguided attempt at telling you to just have faith, it was mostly based on Eastern philosophy, which had its roots in spiritual intellectualism, basically the opposite of the poison which is Christianity.

Don't get me wrong, I LIKE the MESSAGE of Jesus of "love your neighbor as U love yourself", but I strongly believe in science and in reason and the basic a idea of questioning everything and always trying to find the answers, faith does not like questioning the word of GOD, it tells U "this book is the answer" believe in fairy tales and dont question the word of god. If U want to be blinded by faith, that is your will.

I rather TRY to live a full life FREE of FEAR, fear of ANYTHING or ANYONE.

This is why. I grew up in a christian family, there I learned to ALWAYS live under the fear that if I sinned I was going to hell.

Now that I am an atheist, I don't care anymore. I have replaced all fear with love, & I am now free, fear free. I don't fear hell, I don't fear death. I don't care If I go to hell for rejecting faith. I rather live this life with love & trying to be happy, than live a life of full of fear & false promises.Truth will set you free.

god is what each individual makes him up to be. He is a lie in every sense that your christian god is very different that the god of a Jew, or Muslim. Believing in a god depends a lot on where and what time you live. I you had been born in China to a Chinese family, what would your god/faith be?

@tannersanta So when i heard about Jesus there was this connection of love in my heart and him that did it. Can't say i didnt have rough times, but He proved to me He is real, and Good. Love like u never felt, when He shows you. So it cant't be a lie, for me because He proved it for me personally with Love. i just wish that other people could experience that as so..

@tannersanta religion is the dissociation of faith. do not denounce faith as (understandably) you denounce religion. Have faith in yourself, your beliefs and your life. Remember you will never have all the facts to judge any given situation properly, therefore faith is imperative in anything you choose to do. To act without true faith is to be subdued into acceptance, and ultimately a life of unfulfillment , selfishness and greed.

1st: religion is not faith.

2nd: to have recieved faith, is to have recieved the truth, and the truth sets you free.

3rd: people don't believe to be free, people who believe, know the truth, and are free after that, and only after that. Just like only after you have taken the redpill, you can know what the matrix is.

4th: To live in faith, is to live without fear, because of living in truth, wich is to be set free, also of fear.
