@BlindleadintheBlind A physicist is a good start. Which god are you delusional about? There's Zeus, Odin, Allah, Kwan Yin, Anubis, Shiva, etc. Usually your delusions are safe as long as you keep'em to yourself, don't try to force'em on other people (including legislatively) and most importantly, as long as they don't talk back to you. If this occurs, seek help from a competent mental professionally immediately. And as always, have a nice day.
@BlindleadintheBlind I am pretty sure that being a believer means you are willingly accepting something which is entirely improvable as a truth. Why? Because someone else has told you so and taught you so. Image how easy it is for someone to spread false information, and thereby start such a chain. I am pretty sure alot of the prophets in religion really lived and had relevant ideology and ethics at thee time, but to force those things onto our society in our time under a god label is madness.
Original sin happened because Adam and Eve disobeyed God. They were given free will by God, otherwise they would have been robots. They chose to disobey God and there were consequences. God informed them of the consequences and they still chose to disobey Him. God gave them a warning. God is holy and His creation also have to be holy in order to be near Him, holiness comes from keeping away from sin. Disobedience is sin.
@FallofDarkness55 sorry but it makes more sense than you do. With scanning tunneling microscopy an image was taken showing the atoms of a gold surface. And even if we couldn't see smaller things than cells (which clearly we can), it wouldn't be an argument for the higgs boson and all quantum physics to be nonsense. Sounds more like an ignorant person without education wants to feel smarter than all the top scientists of the world with his bold statements. Sorry you fail
@wHisperis001 i know i'm not smarter than those scientists. i also realize that intelligence has a certain threshold. reality in itself is a deep mystery. science is only a tool to understand the world around us. to me the complexity of the universe is proof that god exists. life didn't have to happen. Also most people like to feel like they have a purpose in life and that they have a special place in the world. We are all in a sense "wired" for a benevolent creator.
@FallofDarkness55 I'm not sure what that got to do with the theoretical probability of a higgs boson. But anyways, yes life didn't have to happen. So did the universe, and so did God. But apparently something did happen. We like to think non-existence is the default position but from our own observation that things exist maybe it's not that wild to believe that existence what ever it may be is the default and it so just happened that we got lucky.
@FallofDarkness55 You can't fill in an unknown gap in knowledge with god. Just because the universe is complex doesn't mean anybody can just throw god into the mix and close the book of curiousity and exploration.
So what are you implying? That if ideas exist then whatever they denote manifests into reality? By that logic, if I refute the notion that vampires exist, I can be countered by someone saying that vampires are an idea and ideas exist? Poor logic there my friend.
Atheist are a group of people organized around the idea that another group of peoples idea doesnt exist. is god an idea?do ideas exist? i asked these questions on another atheist page, and it got removed be "theatheistexperience" and i was told "fuck off troll".
No atheist is saying religious beliefs doesn't exist. Atheism is a reply to those beliefs.A belief, an idea doesn't mean that the object of the beliefs exist, nor that the idea is reality. I can believe I'm married to Christie Turlington. I can even come up with the idea that if only we could carry a bucket of sea water each from the sea and dump it on the beach, we wouldn't have problems with rising sea levels. That doesn't make it true or factual.
Continued - Given that either God or the universe must have come from nothing or be outside time itself, I choose not to believe in a God for which there is no evidence. Also, the universe does not saddle me with rituals and rules so I prefer it to any God. Plus, I can SEE the universe, I KNOW it exists, why compound the problem of where it came from with a bigger one by inventing a God who must then be explained and understood?
...Continued - As for whether everything (all universes, all dimensions etc.) could have had a creator, your argument is more valid. However, if one can believe that God (by definition a thing of higher order than the universe itself) can just BE, then why can't the universe just BE. However this argument can be turned around to say if the universe could come from nothing so could a God. Continued...
Matt, as for how a a creator is "possible" - I do not believe this is the case, but, the modern physics postulates the possibility of many universes outside our own, and dimension beyond our perception, so in the sense the OUR universe could have been created by an outside, intelligent force - of course it could. I have just seen no evidence of this. To be continued...
Funny thing is, the name "God Particle" comes from a book called "The God Particle: If the Universe Is the Answer, What Is the Question?" which was written by Leon Lederman. He originally called it the "Goddamn Particle" but his editor prevented him from releasing it under that name. Unfortunately they didn't consider the fact that the word "god" alone gets the religious people going :)
The Large Hardon Collider that is supposed to produce these hypothesized sparticles that have their source in a higher dimension. This higher dimension, where all possibilities are contained, is synonymous with God, not as entity, but a panentheism. Buddhists experience this as a phenomena in consciousness, and it may have been what Jesus experienced himself. People today use entheogens to effectively induce this experience. It's a wonder what you'll find with an open mind, you may be surprised.
CERN scientists recently announced at a news conference that the Higgs Boson likely doesn't exist with a 95% confidence level. Sorry to rain on the parade....
@GuacamoleKun I don't know what causes mass, ilovescience. I can say that the so-called Higgs Boson doesn't cause it (with a 95% confidence level). I can also say that this is going to be a game changer...
The Higg's Boson (God Particle) is a particle predicted by the Standard Model of particle physics. Experiments at CERN are being conducted to observe it. The Higg's would explain the reason why most known elementary particles have mass. It is the only particle predicted by the standard model that has not been observed. I hope this helps some of you. :)
assuming the big bang theory is correct, how the hell does it benefit any of us? science is good up to an extent (finding new cures) but bullshit like this doesn't serve any good.
@p0p80 that's a valid point. science helped us get to where we are. but how is the big bang going to help us now? whether we understand it or not, life will be the same. i think science like that is pointless.
@circusOFprecision "Haha! Matt Doucheahunty. The most articulate moron I've ever heard. An idiot that knows how to articulate his stupidity." You're doing a pretty good job yourself.
These host have a belief in something that they can't prove, but yet believe without doubt the none existence of GOD! so what makes these 2 atheist differ from Christians who believe in the existence of GOD they are just like what they Hate.Atheist are Hyprocites and kids how got there dicks touched in sunday school or just pussie s.!
ROFL, I like how he thinks the existence of the Higgs Boson will prove the existence of god, lol. That's the funniest thing I've heard all day.
For anyone who is confused... the Higgs Boson is the final undiscovered but predicted piece of the Standard Model, our best current understanding of physics. The Higgs Boson is a massive elementary particle, and as I understand it, its' interaction with other elementary particles is what creates the effect of mass.
How could some of the scientists permit themselves to make a claim that would necessitate knowledge as extensive as the scheme of the universe, when their knowledge of the total scheme of being is *close* to zero, when confronted with a whole mass of unknowns concerning this very earth and tangible, lifeless matter, let alone the whole universe?
Do scientific discoveries and knowledge cause such a scientist to conclude that matter, *unknowing and unperceiving *, is his creator and that of all beings?
No?
Then how can the duped and the brainwashed atheists and some of the scientists delude themselve and *believe* that hydrogen and oxygen, electrons and protons, should first produce themselves, then be the source for all other beings, and finally decree the laws that regulate themselves and the rest of the material world?
What is called science by the *science-worshippers* of the present age and regarded by them as equivalent to the sum total of *reality*, is simply a collection of laws applicable to a single dimension of the world. The result of all human effort and experimentation is a body of knowledge concerning a minute bright dot comparable to the dim light of a candle-surrounded by a dark night enveloping a huge desert of indefinite extent.
All praise is due to ALLAH, the Lord of the Universe.
I do not view one small planet supposedly being created by magic just to worship its' creator as superior to the 13 billion year old, detailed down to the quark and possibly the string, 13 billion + light year across, amazingly detailed scientific universe.
Regardless, my statement before was not a religious one, it was simple fact. The "god particle" is just a nickname for something that has NOTHING to do with religion and is purely scientific in nature.
@Ryakki If man, through the application of scientific instruments and criteria, cannot perceive the existence of a thing, he cannot deny its existence simply because it is incompatible with material criteria, unless he disposes of some proof that the thing in question is impossible.
@1tabligh, Allah cannot be proven or disproven, therefore Islam is unfalsifiable making it nonscientific. And of course, that makes religion pseudoscientific and highly improbable to explain the causes and origins of the universe. Religion stifles scientific progress.
Your delusions that science has put out the notion of God is purely *rhetorical* and has nothing to do with logical method, because even thousands of scientific experiments could not possibly suffice to demonstrate that no non-material being or factor exists.
Your claim is nothing more than a *fanatical* illusion based on unproven theories.
@1tabligh, Muhammad receiving inspiration from the angel Gabriel and Muhammad flying to heaven on a magical flying horse sounds like a fanatical illusion based on unproven theories. Blowing up children in the midst of a crowd while shouting Allah AKBAR sounds like a bunch of delusional nutjobs believing in unproven illusions.
@Nashhinton Views such as these derive directly from a system of thought centered on materialism; within it, everything is defined and delimited with reference to materialism.
To interpret materialism in such a sense is in the final analysis strictly meaningless; it would be a superstitious notion involving the perversion of truth, and to regard it as scientific would, in fact, be *treason* to science.
@1tabligh, Do you believe Allah is a perfect creator? If so, why did he create microbial life that can inflict disease and death on its victims? Why did God allow natural disasters to kill millions of people? Why did God create babies being born with two heads? Why is there so much imperfection if God is such a benevolent and perfect being? My beliefs are that if there is a designer, then he has to be imperfect.
@Nashhinton Even if the followers of a religious school of thought had no proofs for their claim, to conclude firmly and forcibly that non- being reigns beyond the sensory realm would be a non-scientific choice, based on imagination and speculation.
We live within a mathematical law. Everything in maths is just a bunch of positive an negatives (+|-). Multiply, square root, divide, fractions etc everything is just a more productive way of doing (+|-).
Now for your understanding
God is 1
God only makes positive +
we live in maths (logic) (+|-)
We are told about judgment day =
We are also told religiously after judgment the decision is eternal ∞
Firstly life coming from amino acids is looking at the picture from the wrong timeline. The big bang is the initial reason for life. Amino acids on earth is a process that occurred billions of years later
@notexceling Life came from a process commonly known as abiogenesis which is the creation of amino acids through chemical process. Now the chances are not all that great but given large amounts of time clearly it can happen. Amino acids are the very basic building blocks of life on earth. I would suggest you check out the Miller-Urey experiments that basically confirm during early earth conditions it was possible to create these acids in a natural way. Once there is a trace of life evolution.
Since humans stepped out of the caves, we were constantly expanding our circle of love to include more people. We now reject genocide, racism, incest, etc; things that were common centuries ago. We are in a crucial point in our development. Becoming completely spiritual by rejecting all evil is the next step. Atheism rejects Jesus, which represents 100% love, as a role model, which is a step back for consciousness. The time has come to raise our consciousness to the next level, is now or never.
What Gives Particles Mass? Searching for Higgs Boson is needed vacuum So vacuum gives mass to particles First question: What is vacuum ? The Vacuum is the lowest background level of Energy E= 0 and temperature T= 0K If Vacuum is some kind of Energetic Space then particles there are energetic particles Dirac named them : virtual particles Second question: Which parameters can they have in T=0K ? Third question: How can these virtual particles become real particles ?
Wait, "God Particle" is just a new faggy name for the Higgs Boson? Great. Whose idea was that? Scientists, you have to be careful how you word things in front of the press.
@GuacamoleKun I understand your disconcert, but you shouldn't use "faggy" as a description for lame or stupid. If you mean lame or stupid or whatever then use what you mean. By using "faggy" your supporting an anti-gay stance and discriminating.
@notexceling If something needs to exist for something else to exist then what existed before your god existed? If you impose this as a necessity it must also apply to your god.
No the cosmological arguments establish theism one can go ahead to dispute the precise nature of God/Gods besides from being a personal being or not. However the cosmological arguments can be said to enable the inference to the best explanation of a personal god as to assume that a personal transcendent creator is explains more than when one assumes otherwise
God is self evident, meaning he requires no physical proof, the God Particle on the other hand is a scientific term for something with No physical proof, but requires physical proof !
@53dumey Ah, okay. So god is self-evident to those who believe just like Vishnu is self-evident to people who believe in him.
By your logic, every god that has ever been worshiped has an existence that is present in the people who believe in them. If you want to maintain that argument, you must acknowledge this.
@53dumey So, if the God of Abraham is "replaced" Judaism, Christianity and Islam will all be proven false? Does that mean that at the time of Christ the God of Abraham was a two-bit fairy tale, but Zeus, Amen-Ra, and Hermes were real? What a bizarre post-modern theology.
As an aside, the ancient Jews thought other gods were real- just not worthy of their devotion. Yahweh was their God, Israel's bridegroom, to whom they are to be faithful. I'm faithful to my wife, but other women still exist!
@53dumey Yes. People did and still believe in Zeus, and they thought he was real. They debated on whether Zeus and the other gods were made of matter and energy as we know them (the materialists) or something supernatural. They debated whether or not the gods interfered in the affairs of men, or whether the gods could know into the future. Not unlike the more modern theological debates in Christianity and Judaism over the last 2000+ years.
@53dumey "The Gods of the ancient Romans and Greek or Eygptians were not real, otherwise those Gods would have not been replaced with the God of Abraham !" So all other gods currently worshiped are real then? Like those of the Hindu faith? That predate Abraham by about 3000 years?
@whatthellman Big Bang is the currently accepted theory for the start of the universe. Evidence for it is seen everywhere, from the background radiation that we still see to the fact that all the galaxies around us are accelerating away from us, supporting the idea that everything originated from a single point.
@RagingCaveman Im kind of confused about where youre coming from. When evidence is presented for a creator, then I will accept it. I am simply debating god(s) that we, humans, have made up, such as the one in the bible. As for something that just created everything, then left us to do whatever, perhaps something like that exists. But I am venturing into unknown territory, and I leave this stuff to the scientists. Its their job to explain it, and I am waiting.
"...no I don't THINK that is possible". So the whole atheism movement simply denies God because they THINK he doesn't exist? If scientists THINK something is whatever, is that a FACT? No. THINKING something about something is merely opinion without proof. Your experience and faculties are not proof we even exist. Having a shared experience with the rest of the world, aka the communal reality, is not proof we exist. 3D CGI and digital simulators are a very close analogy for how reality is built.
@RagingCaveman Just to clear it up. We don't believe in god(s) because there is absolutely no evidence for god(s). The word "think" is used because it is impossible to prove that god does not exist (i.e. the god theory is infallible). Scientists have reasons for what they think. We think that evolution is correct because of so and so evidence. You see, thinking is different from faith. Faith is opinion without proof.
@turretsCanada If what you say is correct, then it's a funny thing that my faith is encouraged by the science I have learned... same science you know. I seem to see evidence for intelligent design and you don't, but we dip into the same well. I am not sheepy like most to just take scripture in it;s literal form. I investigate meanings and metaphors, analogies and parallels. It seems science has lead us all now reveal that our own 'tangible' world may be nothing more then an illusion of light...
@RagingCaveman Really? What is this evidence for intelligent design? Maybe you should email it to pretty much every scientist in the world, seeing as they all think evolution trumps ID. Lol you dont take scripture in its literal form. So youre twisting it to make it seem more logical, and less immoral? And our world may be an illusion. So? Would you waste your time on earth just because it might be an illusion? The possibility of life being an illusion wouldnt really change my attitude at all...
@turretsCanada If you are an illusion of light then how sure can you be of anything, especially if there is or isn't a so called God.
(And please don't be shallow and assume that when I say God I mean that same image of God as the bullshit "over personified" God that religion made up.)
Your answers sound like those of the religious when they are confronted with the scientific argument against God. Seems atheists and religious are equally deluded and equally irrational.
@RagingCaveman Ah, but the thing is, I live my life believing that I'm not simply an illusion of light, and that there is an objective reality that can be experienced through our senses. I cant be sure of everything, but why live life thinking, "this is all an illusion"?
@turretsCanada Dude, are you trying to assume my ENTIRE perspective on the issue from a few youtube posts? Don't you know better then that? Fact is my point about our reality being a projected illusion, is that to me, and many others understanding this science, the concept of an intelligent entity being the source of this becomes more likely and feasible, and thus our illusory reality takes on an entirely new meaning, importance, and purpose, whereas no one fathomed any real purpose or meaning.
@turretsCanada It may be an illusion but then the source is the real thing. we are the body of this one universal consciousness, thus conscious experience is the purpose and the quality of that experience is more important then ever. That means, God for lack of another term, lives in us and we in God. We are a projection from one consciousness and God is the Consciousness projecting us. call Gad the Unified Field, the Universe, YHWH, whatever you want that implies the same thing.
@turretsCanada Our purpose is to figure out our reality, to escape it's convincing grasp through understanding, then and only when we achieve this state of understanding and are no longer convinced of the solidity of our illusory reality, can we have real power within our reality. Thus moving mountains is a literal inference to our potential to control our reality. There is some meaning for you. We all have God in us already, part of our design, same stuff that makes the rest of the universe.
Respond to this video... Actually Faith is not opinion. Religion is opinion. People had faith in a great power or consciousness, long before religion. Another funny thing is that you say God is neither provable or disprovable, yet you seem to be under the impression that you yourself are provable. Prove to me that what you see, feel, hear, taste, and smell is real. Sensory perception is just that, perception so it's unverifiable thus not useable in this argument. Go, your turn....
@RagingCaveman Faith: "complete trust or confidence in someone or something" or "strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof".
Er... so what if Im not provable? Why does that matter? Im not trying to convince people to think I exist and to worship me. I know that I exist, I couldnt care less whether or not you think I exist.
Cant prove our senses. Ok? Brings me back to "cant (dis)prove god". No evidence he exists though...
@turretsCanada First off you confuse religion for faith. NO religious person knowns God. Only the faithful do. And that is not faith in a church, but faith in a creator or creation source.
Secondly you said:
"Faith: "complete trust or confidence in someone or something" or "strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof"."
Seems atheism is guilty of faith too... but misguided, irrational faith.
@RagingCaveman "No religious person knows god. Only the faithful do." Define "religious person" as well as "faithful" please. Whats the difference? Neither of them relies on evidence, both of them rely on faith.
Athiesm is simply saying theres no evidence for god, therefore you dont believe in one. In other words, "Until proof is presented for the hypothesis of a god, I will reject it." Theres absolutely no reason to believe everything was created by a creator.
I don't know how to tag people from my phone but linkuei8, u r right, I can not even come close to explaining DNA. No one can all I know about it is that it's amazingly complex, stores a massive amount of info, it fixes itself and it has a purpose! I'm sorry but in my reasoning there is no way that could evolve or randomly come about. I'm sorry but no way. You have to agree DNA would have to be around from the start of life.
@Dpatti8033 No, it did not. Cellular life as we now it, with a membrane and one or more dna-strings was preceded by "undead" pseudo-life with singular rna-strings, kind of like modern vira.
All chemistry follows rules. Atoms joins forces, and react with one another by simple patterns. All chemistry has the ability to evolve. As long as combinations can randomly change into other combinations, and some combinations are "better" in some sense, it can and will evolve.
Explain how DNA works without god. I really don't think it can be done. DNA has a purpose and it has soooo much information and it's very complex. The way I look at it, if it has a purpose then it cant possibly be a random act of the universe. Its too complex. I don't think a atheist would argue that DNA is a blueprint.
@dpatti33 Sam Harris explains his take on DNA very well, much better than I could. Try looking into some of his videos. But you have to understand that in biology, random occurrences do not happen. That is something religious people like to think happens so they can label it as designed. There is nothing random about evolution, be it the smallest building blocks that create life or the living organisms themselves.
@dpatti33 so because you can't grasp the idea of DNA it's more convenient to just say god did it and everything is nice and peachy. This is not knowledge, and trying to fill your emptiness of not knowing with god doesn't make it real. For some people truth matters, and that's why we can be honest and say we don't know, and that's why we don't rush into conclusions.
@YodaLN Then how can you delude yourself and believe that hydrogen and oxygen, electrons and protons, should first produce themselves, then be the source for all other beings, and finally decree the laws that regulate themselves and the rest of the material world?
Quantum mechanics is trying make things too magical? Oh Matt I'm disappointed. It certainly seems like sound science to me.. Sure it's a young field of study, but everything was at some point. Theories on a universal scale and dealing with black holes are the reason I will never need zombie gods again. The possibilities of reality are far more fascinating and wonderous than any of the sugar-coated crap they spew in churches and temples. I can't wait to see what information the field uncovers.
Do people not know that the big bang is visible? Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation look it up please. We can see the big bang, almost 14 billion years after it happened.
you see? he dont even wanna use the word (God) cause he hates the idea so much. these atheists are NOT worried about finding the truth, they are only worried about how much sin they can get away with without feeling like they ARE sinning. you see me? i LOVE to sin. i sin in every way i can. and i ENJOY it. and i laugh at the God i KNOW exists. sure alot of you atheists will call me an idiot but you know what? im VERY happy. i enjoy my life SO fucking much because i enjoy what i do! FUCK atheists
Well, concievably speaking there could be alternate universes where a "creator" exists to the inhabitants of the universe. However this universe would have to have major alterations to the simple laws of physics. In that no one being in our universe can have infinite up-to-date knowlage. This "creator" however, would not have created our universe and is therefore not "God".
There is no God particle. The reason there is a God is so simple .What is next to what man makes is what God made. We are in a fallen universe therefore the life dies, and what we make with our hand is dead. Man creator of dead things, and God creator of living things, and man will be in opposition to life with his mind. Humans must reverse there thinking. 3,07, he is right, and humans also use vain names to persecute humans too.
"We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangements of the books, but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God. - Albert Einstein
Even einstein acknowledged his failure to understand the beginning of everything around us. Such humility is remarkable considering his IQ level. And although he does not believe in a personal God (or a God who loves us), but he do believe in a Creator of everything.. Atheist, especially Baldie here, thinks he knows everything.
You all forgot the scientific discovered invisible energy particle referred to as "Neutrino", which passes through all matter unaffected and travels near or at the speed of light.
Keep in mind, this is still science in it's infancy, as CERN is still on the conquest to find the ever elusive HIGGS boson.
@TCupUK I understand your quantum mechanics thing about waves and particles and I'm a mere 15 year old. Guess I'm doin ok then unlike people who don't get it. I believe photons are an example arnt they?
Take a black background and on this black background place a circle in the exact same colour black as the background. Can you see the circle?
Now add just a fraction of light to that circle, so it is slightly different to its background, and you will see the circle. Now is it the circle you are observing or is it the light difference?
All colours are present in white light, and without light we could not observe anything other than complete darkness.
@lordnimr0d Wave–particle duality postulates that all matter exhibits both wave and particle properties. A central concept of quantum mechanics, this duality addresses the inability of classical concepts like "particle" and "wave" to fully describe the behavior of quantum-scale objects. Standard interpretations of quantum mechanics explain this paradox as a fundamental property of the Universe.
I love these guys, but! are they screening for really bad questions to keep the show going! I mean all the callers on all the clips sound like stoners!
Woe to the folly of scientist who have given bad colloquial names to scientific ideas. The two worst examples: 1) The Big Bang. How many creationists have misinterpreted that as an explosion. 2) The God Particle. How many creationists have mistaken that for having anything at all to do with God?
It does make me laugh when people talk about QM and do not understand the science. Even physicist's struggle with it, but yet this atheist knows better. Please GTFO. Currently God can neither be proved or disproved, and this is the facts as they are, anything other than this, is to use opinions in substitute of evidence. Both possibility are plausible depending on your observational view point, and as Einstein would say, "They are both correct" How can that be? because QM shows us this.
@TCupUK It depends of your definition of God. If your definition is a giant octopus that lives in the core of the planet, that can eventually be disproven. If your definition is 'a force which is completely undetectable in everyway' then yeah no one can disprove it. Along with all spirits, ghosts, goblins and fictional creatures. All of the 'pagan' gods and godesses ever concieved are just as (or more) supported as your monotheistic (capital G) God. That's no reason to believe they are real.
@Slanguaj I capitalise the the (G) because it is a name, not because of any religious reasons.
Reality as we perceive it is considered an illusion, just like how you consider those fictional story characters to be. The fact is that science considers us human beings to be nothing more than an illusion. You need to look in to holographic theory and entanglement theory, and then you will see that you are no more real than your fictional interpretation of God. The two slit experiment proofs this.
@TCupUK No it doesn't. Reality as I percieve it is a figment of my own imagination, so in that sense it's an illusion. But the actual things I'm observing, which remain constant for everyone, are real. Fictional characters are real in a conceptual sense, just like dreams. If I have a dream, that experience is real... but the events of the dream did not occur in reality.
"The fact is that science considers us human beings to be nothing more than an illusion" no it doesn't. Philosophy might.
@Slanguaj Everything is made up of atoms, and atoms consist of light. On the atomic level you are exactly the same as your surroundings. 3 things give rise to everything, and seeing your self as anything different is a delusion. What I say is proven fact and not made up, or based on my opinion. Do your research in to the science I have put forward, and then you can debate me. I am not interested in your personal views no more than I am a Christians. Facts only please no conjecture.
@TCupUK On the atomic level you have elements, so everything isn't exactly the same. On the subatomic level everything is protons/neutrons/electrons, and I'm not too sure beyond that. But the point is, you have to be practical. You can't say nothing is real, or everything is
What doctor do you recommend to cure my God delusion

If atheists dismiss believers as delusional then what test can they practice at home to determine this fact.
BlindleadintheBlind 1 week ago
@BlindleadintheBlind I am pretty sure that being a believer means you are willingly accepting something which is entirely improvable as a truth. Why? Because someone else has told you so and taught you so. Image how easy it is for someone to spread false information, and thereby start such a chain. I am pretty sure alot of the prophets in religion really lived and had relevant ideology and ethics at thee time, but to force those things onto our society in our time under a god label is madness.

wHisperis001 3 weeks ago
@wHisperis001 nope sorry it's nonsense. the furthest we can see is up to cells. we don't even know what a molecule looks like.
FallofDarkness55 3 weeks ago
@FallofDarkness55 sorry but it makes more sense than you do. With scanning tunneling microscopy an image was taken showing the atoms of a gold surface. And even if we couldn't see smaller things than cells (which clearly we can), it wouldn't be an argument for the higgs boson and all quantum physics to be nonsense. Sounds more like an ignorant person without education wants to feel smarter than all the top scientists of the world with his bold statements. Sorry you fail
wHisperis001 3 weeks ago
@wHisperis001 i know i'm not smarter than those scientists. i also realize that intelligence has a certain threshold. reality in itself is a deep mystery. science is only a tool to understand the world around us. to me the complexity of the universe is proof that god exists. life didn't have to happen. Also most people like to feel like they have a purpose in life and that they have a special place in the world. We are all in a sense "wired" for a benevolent creator.
FallofDarkness55 2 weeks ago
@FallofDarkness55 I'm not sure what that got to do with the theoretical probability of a higgs boson. But anyways, yes life didn't have to happen. So did the universe, and so did God. But apparently something did happen. We like to think non-existence is the default position but from our own observation that things exist maybe it's not that wild to believe that existence what ever it may be is the default and it so just happened that we got lucky.
wHisperis001 2 weeks ago
@FallofDarkness55 You can't fill in an unknown gap in knowledge with god. Just because the universe is complex doesn't mean anybody can just throw god into the mix and close the book of curiousity and exploration.

So what are you implying? That if ideas exist then whatever they denote manifests into reality? By that logic, if I refute the notion that vampires exist, I can be countered by someone saying that vampires are an idea and ideas exist? Poor logic there my friend.

The Higg's Boson (God Particle) is a particle predicted by the Standard Model of particle physics. Experiments at CERN are being conducted to observe it. The Higg's would explain the reason why most known elementary particles have mass. It is the only particle predicted by the standard model that has not been observed. @Ryakki The atheist Delusion!
1tabligh 2 months ago
Do scientific discoveries and knowledge cause such a scientist to conclude that matter, *unknowing and unperceiving *, is his creator and that of all beings?
No?
Then how can the duped and the brainwashed atheists and some of the scientists delude themselve and *believe* that hydrogen and oxygen, electrons and protons, should first produce themselves, then be the source for all other beings, and finally decree the laws that regulate themselves and the rest of the material world?
1tabligh 2 months ago

@Ryakki If man, through the application of scientific instruments and criteria, cannot perceive the existence of a thing, he cannot deny its existence simply because it is incompatible with material criteria, unless he disposes of some proof that the thing in question is impossible.
1tabligh 2 months ago
@1tabligh, Allah cannot be proven or disproven, therefore Islam is unfalsifiable making it nonscientific. And of course, that makes religion pseudoscientific and highly improbable to explain the causes and origins of the universe. Religion stifles scientific progress.
Nashhinton 2 months ago
@Nashhinton The atheist Delusion!
1tabligh 2 months ago
@1tabligh, Muhammad receiving inspiration from the angel Gabriel and Muhammad flying to heaven on a magical flying horse sounds like a fanatical illusion based on unproven theories. Blowing up children in the midst of a crowd while shouting Allah AKBAR sounds like a bunch of delusional nutjobs believing in unproven illusions.
Nashhinton 2 months ago
@Nashhinton Views such as these derive directly from a system of thought centered on materialism; within it, everything is defined and delimited with reference to materialism.
To interpret materialism in such a sense is in the final analysis strictly meaningless; it would be a superstitious notion involving the perversion of truth, and to regard it as scientific would, in fact, be *treason* to science.
1tabligh 2 months ago
@1tabligh, Do you believe Allah is a perfect creator? If so, why did he create microbial life that can inflict disease and death on its victims? Why did God allow natural disasters to kill millions of people? Why did God create babies being born with two heads? Why is there so much imperfection if God is such a benevolent and perfect being? My beliefs are that if there is a designer, then he has to be imperfect.
Nashhinton 2 months ago
@Nashhinton Even if the followers of a religious school of thought had no proofs for their claim, to conclude firmly and forcibly that non- being reigns beyond the sensory realm would be a non-scientific choice, based on imagination and speculation.

God is 1
God only makes positive +
we live in maths (logic) (+|-)

We are also told religiously after judgment the decision is eternal ∞
So if we look at it in an equation

@notexceling Life came from a process commonly known as abiogenesis which is the creation of amino acids through chemical process. Now the chances are not all that great but given large amounts of time clearly it can happen. Amino acids are the very basic building blocks of life on earth. I would suggest you check out the Miller-Urey experiments that basically confirm during early earth conditions it was possible to create these acids in a natural way. Once there is a trace of life evolution.

RagingCaveman 5 months ago
@RagingCaveman Just to clear it up. We don't believe in god(s) because there is absolutely no evidence for god(s). The word "think" is used because it is impossible to prove that god does not exist (i.e. the god theory is infallible). Scientists have reasons for what they think. We think that evolution is correct because of so and so evidence. You see, thinking is different from faith. Faith is opinion without proof.
turretsCanada 5 months ago
@turretsCanada If what you say is correct, then it's a funny thing that my faith is encouraged by the science I have learned... same science you know. I seem to see evidence for intelligent design and you don't, but we dip into the same well. I am not sheepy like most to just take scripture in it;s literal form. I investigate meanings and metaphors, analogies and parallels. It seems science has lead us all now reveal that our own 'tangible' world may be nothing more then an illusion of light...
RagingCaveman 5 months ago
@RagingCaveman Really? What is this evidence for intelligent design? Maybe you should email it to pretty much every scientist in the world, seeing as they all think evolution trumps ID. Lol you dont take scripture in its literal form. So youre twisting it to make it seem more logical, and less immoral? And our world may be an illusion. So? Would you waste your time on earth just because it might be an illusion? The possibility of life being an illusion wouldnt really change my attitude at all...
turretsCanada 5 months ago
@turretsCanada If you are an illusion of light then how sure can you be of anything, especially if there is or isn't a so called God.
(And please don't be shallow and assume that when I say God I mean that same image of God as the bullshit "over personified" God that religion made up.)
Your answers sound like those of the religious when they are confronted with the scientific argument against God. Seems atheists and religious are equally deluded and equally irrational.
RagingCaveman 5 months ago
@RagingCaveman Ah, but the thing is, I live my life believing that I'm not simply an illusion of light, and that there is an objective reality that can be experienced through our senses. I cant be sure of everything, but why live life thinking, "this is all an illusion"?
turretsCanada 5 months ago
@turretsCanada Dude, are you trying to assume my ENTIRE perspective on the issue from a few youtube posts? Don't you know better then that? Fact is my point about our reality being a projected illusion, is that to me, and many others understanding this science, the concept of an intelligent entity being the source of this becomes more likely and feasible, and thus our illusory reality takes on an entirely new meaning, importance, and purpose, whereas no one fathomed any real purpose or meaning.
RagingCaveman 5 months ago
@turretsCanada It may be an illusion but then the source is the real thing. we are the body of this one universal consciousness, thus conscious experience is the purpose and the quality of that experience is more important then ever. That means, God for lack of another term, lives in us and we in God. We are a projection from one consciousness and God is the Consciousness projecting us. call Gad the Unified Field, the Universe, YHWH, whatever you want that implies the same thing.
RagingCaveman 5 months ago
@turretsCanada Our purpose is to figure out our reality, to escape it's convincing grasp through understanding, then and only when we achieve this state of understanding and are no longer convinced of the solidity of our illusory reality, can we have real power within our reality. Thus moving mountains is a literal inference to our potential to control our reality. There is some meaning for you. We all have God in us already, part of our design, same stuff that makes the rest of the universe.
RagingCaveman 5 months ago
Respond to this video... Actually Faith is not opinion. Religion is opinion. People had faith in a great power or consciousness, long before religion. Another funny thing is that you say God is neither provable or disprovable, yet you seem to be under the impression that you yourself are provable. Prove to me that what you see, feel, hear, taste, and smell is real. Sensory perception is just that, perception so it's unverifiable thus not useable in this argument. Go, your turn....
RagingCaveman 5 months ago
@RagingCaveman Faith: "complete trust or confidence in someone or something" or "strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof".
Er... so what if Im not provable? Why does that matter? Im not trying to convince people to think I exist and to worship me. I know that I exist, I couldnt care less whether or not you think I exist.
Cant prove our senses. Ok? Brings me back to "cant (dis)prove god". No evidence he exists though...
turretsCanada 5 months ago
@turretsCanada First off you confuse religion for faith. NO religious person knowns God. Only the faithful do. And that is not faith in a church, but faith in a creator or creation source.
Secondly you said:
"Faith: "complete trust or confidence in someone or something" or "strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof"."
Seems atheism is guilty of faith too... but misguided, irrational faith.
RagingCaveman 5 months ago
@RagingCaveman "No religious person knows god. Only the faithful do." Define "religious person" as well as "faithful" please. Whats the difference? Neither of them relies on evidence, both of them rely on faith.
Athiesm is simply saying theres no evidence for god, therefore you dont believe in one. In other words, "Until proof is presented for the hypothesis of a god, I will reject it." Theres absolutely no reason to believe everything was created by a creator.

All chemistry follows rules. Atoms joins forces, and react with one another by simple patterns. All chemistry has the ability to evolve. As long as combinations can randomly change into other combinations, and some combinations are "better" in some sense, it can and will evolve.

@dpatti33
Dude it has clearly has proven how dna became
"God" is just a meaning that helped stone men know what was doing all that to them
Like making lighting and making it rain....there is no solid proof that there is god
But there is proof that dna created it himself......its really complex
henricraft 7 months ago
Explain how DNA works without god. I really don't think it can be done. DNA has a purpose and it has soooo much information and it's very complex. The way I look at it, if it has a purpose then it cant possibly be a random act of the universe. Its too complex. I don't think a atheist would argue that DNA is a blueprint.
dpatti33 7 months ago
@dpatti33 Sam Harris explains his take on DNA very well, much better than I could. Try looking into some of his videos. But you have to understand that in biology, random occurrences do not happen. That is something religious people like to think happens so they can label it as designed. There is nothing random about evolution, be it the smallest building blocks that create life or the living organisms themselves.
Clubbingshawn 7 months ago

Haloid98867 8 months ago

- Albert Einstein
attypulpol 8 months ago
Even einstein acknowledged his failure to understand the beginning of everything around us. Such humility is remarkable considering his IQ level. And although he does not believe in a personal God (or a God who loves us), but he do believe in a Creator of everything.. Atheist, especially Baldie here, thinks he knows everything.
attypulpol 8 months ago
You all forgot the scientific discovered invisible energy particle referred to as "Neutrino", which passes through all matter unaffected and travels near or at the speed of light.
Keep in mind, this is still science in it's infancy, as CERN is still on the conquest to find the ever elusive HIGGS boson.

@lordnimr0d Consider this,
Take a black background and on this black background place a circle in the exact same colour black as the background. Can you see the circle?
Now add just a fraction of light to that circle, so it is slightly different to its background, and you will see the circle. Now is it the circle you are observing or is it the light difference?
All colours are present in white light, and without light we could not observe anything other than complete darkness.
TCupUK 9 months ago
@lordnimr0d Why not?
And this has been my only topic of discussion on this video.
Just because you fail to understand it, and its implications, does not mean you can disregard it.
TCupUK 9 months ago
@lordnimr0d Wave–particle duality postulates that all matter exhibits both wave and particle properties. A central concept of quantum mechanics, this duality addresses the inability of classical concepts like "particle" and "wave" to fully describe the behavior of quantum-scale objects. Standard interpretations of quantum mechanics explain this paradox as a fundamental property of the Universe.

TCupUK 10 months ago
@TCupUK It depends of your definition of God. If your definition is a giant octopus that lives in the core of the planet, that can eventually be disproven. If your definition is 'a force which is completely undetectable in everyway' then yeah no one can disprove it. Along with all spirits, ghosts, goblins and fictional creatures. All of the 'pagan' gods and godesses ever concieved are just as (or more) supported as your monotheistic (capital G) God. That's no reason to believe they are real.
Slanguaj 10 months ago
@Slanguaj I capitalise the the (G) because it is a name, not because of any religious reasons.
Reality as we perceive it is considered an illusion, just like how you consider those fictional story characters to be. The fact is that science considers us human beings to be nothing more than an illusion. You need to look in to holographic theory and entanglement theory, and then you will see that you are no more real than your fictional interpretation of God. The two slit experiment proofs this.
TCupUK 10 months ago
@TCupUK No it doesn't. Reality as I percieve it is a figment of my own imagination, so in that sense it's an illusion. But the actual things I'm observing, which remain constant for everyone, are real. Fictional characters are real in a conceptual sense, just like dreams. If I have a dream, that experience is real... but the events of the dream did not occur in reality.
"The fact is that science considers us human beings to be nothing more than an illusion" no it doesn't. Philosophy might.
Slanguaj 10 months ago
@Slanguaj Everything is made up of atoms, and atoms consist of light. On the atomic level you are exactly the same as your surroundings. 3 things give rise to everything, and seeing your self as anything different is a delusion. What I say is proven fact and not made up, or based on my opinion. Do your research in to the science I have put forward, and then you can debate me. I am not interested in your personal views no more than I am a Christians. Facts only please no conjecture.
TCupUK 10 months ago
@TCupUK On the atomic level you have elements, so everything isn't exactly the same. On the subatomic level everything is protons/neutrons/electrons, and I'm not too sure beyond that. But the point is, you have to be practical. You can't say nothing is real, or everything is
