@NotBogdy It's a different world, magic is rather dangerous in that place. That shield spell in the game had one character almost faint and bleed from the nose. He was actually rather good getting off that shield and a fire ball.

Both look awesome for being made in 2007, introduce main character and witchers in general, show how Geralt ended out as royal bodyguard at the beginning of second game, without really spoiling anything about the first.

@theonetruekirk Well, so you will probably like more kings you will meet in the actual game. Both Foltest and Henselt can be called warriors, however they are regular human beings. This assassin IS NOT. Neither is our character - Geralt, so he can put up a fight, but this bold bastard is the hardest foe in the game.

@ChiCity511 Yeah, you don't have to play the first game. The first game had a great story, but very clunky gameplay mechanics. It was a nice experiment and i really enjoyed it, but it pales in comparison to Witcher 2. Everything that you need to know about Witcher 1 will be explained to you in Witcher 2, or you could just watch some youtube videos to catch up with the story.
