  • Rooster and Lily are like a Joker and Harley Quinn kinda couple, right?

  • anyone else get the shivers when Alan says "shady"?

  • Comment removed

  • Such a nostalgic memory here.

  • 1982 version is the best, detail the asp, punjab was left out. kathy bates is a tripple threat but cannot do justice as mrs hannigan, albert finney captures daddy warbucks ,gruff but melts under annies charms. 82version picks up 1930sbetter..musical numbers in 1982s excellant,1997 leaves alot to be desired. does not come accross.fdr82version,fantistic.governess 1n 82 version better dancer and singer,,

  • @augustine60 no one can beat carrol bernett as the slutty and selfish sexy mrs. hannigam

  • NO WAY!!!!

the 1982 version with Aileen Quinn, albert finny, and carol burnett, buries this crap!!!

the 1982 version was the original movie version and the best!

  • Alan Cumming is both hot and talented- why isn't he in more good movies???

  • @NightmaresDaydream I completely agree!! Lol Where's he been anyway?? Haven't really seen him in anything since X-Men 2!!

  • is that Kristen chenoweth ?

  • @MrDefyinggravity1 Yeah that's Kristin.

  • That Version is much better than the old one....

(I only mean the song; I like both movies)

  • @Delignum - I agree. I hadn't thought of that before but she does :)

  • I always thought Hannigan looked too motherly in the 1999 version... :)

  • 1:13 oh baby

  • "Mother we kno ur listening....down there" lol

  • I thought it was weird that this movie came out the day i was born and my name is annie.

  • @anniebanannie109 Are you also an orphan?

  • Anyone know where I can find an instrumental for THIS version?

  • @coley123321 amazon have loads of good ones

  • am i the only one who thinks rooster isnt that bad looking ??

  • @04campbellk Yes you are JK

  • EW THIS ONE IS HORRIBLE

  • this is probably one of my fav songs in annie

  • Bloody love this film. love both of them. but this verson of easy street is quality.

  • "no you dumb hotel" lmfao

  • The best thing about living in NYC is that when you randomly go into the middle of the street and start dancing, people ignore you because they assume you're practicing for a play or movie or something.

  • @pinkglitterwitch

The main reason the choreography looks "sloppy" is because they were trying to reflect how Miss Hannigan had a drinking habit in that version. Honestly, I like it better that way, with the little slapstick moments thrown in.

  • LMBO at Miss Hannigan's fur!

  • When I was reading the script for my school play I imagined Rooster and Lily EXACTLY like that!!

  • the production quality and cast of 1982 combined with the broadway loyalty of 1999 would have been one heck of a movie

  • @taylors1113 thank for the advice :)

  • Wow, I'd love to dance down the street without anyone caring.

  • I like the 1982 one better

  • Not enough Tim Curry.

  • oh the 90's xD

  • The 1982 version is better. However, I do like how they pause between the singing to complain about Annie having it better then picking back up on the singing. I also like that they took it out on the street and it seemed like no even saw them singing and dancing. Allan Cumming made a good Rooster not better then Tim Curry though.

  • *shore

  • VVVVVVV

Well i suggest u act like the jersey hoer xD

  • I just Was casted as lily in Annie jr , Any tip? I know I need to act like a girl from New Jersey.

  • ALLAN CUMMING IS SO HOT! definitley attracts all the attention and makes me want himmmmmmmm!

  • The best song of the musical :) Glad I got to play Rooster last spring in my old High School

  • CHENOWETH'S VOICE IS SIMPLY TO DIE FOR !!!

  • This is the only Annie song where I like the 1999 version better than the 1982 one.

  • mother dear oh we know your... down ther listening... lol thats funny no wounder they are evil

  • @pinkglitterwitch The 1982 version of Easy Street is a total disaster even with the likes of Carol Burnett, Bernadette Peters and Tim Curry. The choreography is a mess and they sound like they are each singing a different song that doesn't go together. This version gets it right thanks to Rob Marshall. Totally brilliant!

  • 1:34

a better comeback would have been,

    Lilly: "THE millionaire?"

Miss Hannigan: "No, the cranberry farmer. YES THE MILLIONAIRE!"

  • 1:34

a better comeback would have been,

    Lilly: "THE millionaire?"

Miss Hannigan: "No, the cranberry farmer. YES THE MILLIONAIRE!"

  • @pinkglitterwitch SAMEE!!!

  • "mother dear, oh we know you're.... down there listenin." omg. i laugh everytime that part comes up. XDD

  • Kristen chenoworth! this is the bbeeesssttt scene in annie

  • That was supposed to be a heart -3 -3

  • Kristin chenoweth is my idol. -3

  • "mother dear we know your...down there listen" XD

  • @TigerWolfDemon I was going to like that.........until you spelled "listening" incorrectly

  • @TigerWolfDemon I would've thumbed up your comment if you used "you're".

  • Thumbs up if you think that if they really did dance randomly like that they wouldn't get a second look even in 2011

  • kristin chenoweth is awesome

  • "Miss Lily St. Regis... I'm named after the hotel."

    "Oh, which floor?"

    Cracks me up everytime xD

  • Hello Annie fans!! I think this version of the song is sooooooo much better than the original although I think the old Annie was better overall. This version always puts a smile on my face and I have seen it a dozen times!! How fantastic is Alan Cummings. Wow, I didnt even recognise him and I knew he was an actor as I have seen him in Spiceworld but he is incredible and I definitley know who he is now!! He can sing, dance and act. I think he deserves an oscar for his role as Rooster!! Amazing

  • Lily's accent is LOL

  • i think this is a better cast than the original

  • "Oh mother dear, we know you're... down there listening" XDD

  • @XCrazyActressX Oh I don't know If they will be performing...I'm just saying they would only perform at the Tonys

  • 1:12 :O :O

  • @sproughticus ol right! nice thong Kristen! haha still is an awesome version of this song though!

  • Like nobody don't see ppl dancing

  • WAY BETTER THAN 1982! I seriously love Kathy, Alan and Kristin. This Easy Street version sounds so much cooler and sounds like perfect!

  • Kristin Chenoweth <3333

  • i love this song

  • I still can't believe that the guy who plays rooster is nightcrawler from x-men 2. He is such a good actor. 8D.

  • These 3 Will Be Reunited At the 63rd Emmy Awards on September 18th....All Nominated For Different Roles, Kathy Bates for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, Alan Cumming for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series and Kristin Chenoweth for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series...! I Hope They All Win!! :)

  • @andrewdisney1 God, if they could just sing Easy Street live, I could die happily.

  • @TheElectricDreamer93 Only @ the Tonys... :(

  • 3:26 i laughed so hRD!

  • i absolutely LOVE kristins(lilys) laugh at 3:07

  • anyone else notice how insanly high the celing is??

  • What is the first thing he says? I cnt understand it? He's 2 fast! All I got was "Fuzzy end of the lollipop!" "Ah!"

  • Alan Cumming is the best rooster ive seen xD <3

  • Is there sheet music for Kristin's harmony? I'm playing Lily and I'd really like to use it!

  • anyonelse find roster attractive?

  • @TaylorGermanotta Bro, it's Alan Cumming! Who WOULDN'T find him attractive?!

  • @smec9 very true!!! <3

  • @TaylorGermanotta i do :P

  • @TaylorGermanotta Yes! I sure do! :)

  • CAUTION, This song might make your head explode from

    PURE AWESOMNESS

  • I loved this one i was trying to find it all day!

  • This is THE BEST version of "Annie" ever!! Period, end of discussion.

  • @epacmo1807 You can say that again ^-^

  • @epacmo1807 YES.

  • I like this one a little bit better than the other one. Just sayin!

  • This is my favorite song from the film! Alan Cumming ftw!

  • First Tim Curry, Bernadette Peters, and Carol Burnett and then Kristen Chenoweth, Alan Cummings, and Kathy Bates. This song is great in both of the movies versions!

  • @drjax1994 i like this one better its more up beat the the original

  • @drjax1994 I agree! :)

  • played Rooster in my last musical really enjoyed it hes such fun to play

  • Comment removed

  • Warbucks doesnt live up on 5th avenue.. he dont? No he lives on .. Easy Street.. Possibly the best line in the movie :)

  • I remember watching this on Disney Cinemagic a few years back but the TV was going funny then in 2009 I was in a shop and I nearly had a heart attack when I found the DVD :D

  • How AWESOME would it have been to see the same actors in the Broadway musical?

  • good song

  • i love how they just break out dancing in the busy streets of New York City! haha :D ....Only in movies..

  • Dude, every time Rooster bursts into that one line, "Easy Street", I swear that I swoon ^^

I adore how he sings it! :D

  • LOVE this version!

  • i am rooster in my school play

  • i lurve the chorus!!

  • old one is way better.................

  • i love this song + im rooster in our school play

  • "Down there listening" hahahahahahahah! LOL!!!

  • I absolutely LOVE the newer one :) the 1982 version kinda creeped me out. :/

  • @jpmccsgirl Miss Hannigan is much scarier in the 1982 version, isn't she? Carol Burnett obviously wasn't as worried about scaring children as Kathy Bates apparently was.

  • I'm 21, and grew up with this one in the 90s. :)

  • Kristen Chenoweth.... LOVE.

  • 2:03 ? What

  • this is maybe the only scene i like out of this whole movie...besides the last part were hanigan is doing her little"someday i'll land in the nut house" then she gets rolled out i really like that but i stil like the origanal more especially because of annie's curly wig :D :l

  • My friend is playing rooster and we're doing annie at my high school, and I pretty much should have had it, being the kind of prodigy of the club. I thought he was doing terrible, but now seeing that my director had him basing his character on this rooster, I understand why. The singing is good though, even though its the wrong keys at points.

  • "No, the billionaire you dumb hoe-tel." Ha ha. Best line in the whole movie.

  • I love Annie! Old and New! Is it true Will Smith is making another version of this movie?

  • @VideoPictureBox Another version?! First I heard of it!

  • @Villaingirl101 Yeah and apparently his daughter is going to be the lead. That is what I heard. It might just be a rumor though.

  • Wow, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, and Kathy Bates. I'm surprised the camera didn't explode from all of the pure awesomeness it was recording.

  • @Nightmare5F Too true.
