my mum had an aneurysm twenty five years ago. She's still going strong, but the guy in the adjacent hospital bed to her died of the same thing. I also have a friend who lost someone aged 41 to an aneurysm. It's a lot more common than people.
Wishing you a continued recovery, and good health moving forward...
Thank you for sharing your story - I lost my father to a brain aneurysm is 2006. Since then I have started The Joe Niekro Foundation, committed to the awareness and funding for aneurysm research, treatment and education. I have added your testimony to our survivor videos on the foundation's "You Tube Channel. Thank you for sharing.
This is very important and useful information. Thank you for making this and congratulations on your recovery! I had surgery for my unruptured aneurysm March of 09 (there's a youtube vid of my recovery on my page) and it's been such an eye-opening struggle and a blessing that I got through it.
Keke - I am so touched by this video and full of admiration and respect for you. I also love your videos on pet bereavment/euthanasia and have taken great comfort from them. God bless. x x
something similar that happened to your aunt happened to my aunt late 2009. I really didnt know what an aneurysm was until she was out of surgery and in recovery. my family and i are really blessed to have her and so is her 3 year old daughter, just as your family is blessed to still have you. I'm thinking that maybe if you would like to hear her story than i will post hers here because it's nice to know exactly what an aneurysm is so thank you and bless you and your family..
PS I agree with FancyLadyDiane as well. I am so glad you survived this ordeal and are sharing your experience to help and encourage others. You are a beautiful caring good person. Your friend Vic.
Oh Keke im so glad your survied, your video is so very touching & so important, its a shame people get sick& for reasons get put off ,or not the proper treatment, and have to pay with own life, ill prey for you honey,i love your beautiful music and your happy spirt, you make me cry & laugh at the same time xx
Last year she had another stroke on her other side but survived it as well...she is a fighter...I am glad you are doing this, people need to know about this...I wish you many blessings and you can make it through...may God bless you and your family each and everyday...
@athomas1124 Wow~ your kidding! God bless your aunt! How is she now? Please give her a hug for me! There are support groups all over the place if she feels the need to talk to be with others that have experienced what she has.
I HAVE to say this, is there a history of aneurysms in your family? Have you told your doctor? Perhaps you should get checked. Remember, my aunt died from one. All my family is fine, without me having that luck of chance m.r.i~ I'd be wouldn't be here..look into that K?
@KeKe10101000 Actually, no there is no history of it in our family. There have been different things happening to family members that have no history in our family, it is weird...
Faith and fate are awesome...Just by fate, you came to my page and this is amazing. My aunt had a massive stroke and aneurysm at the same time 4 years ago and they gave her up to die but our family fought for her life and told them to do what they had to to save her. God stepped in as well and she had almost made it back to her old self...con't
I've just watched your video. I'm so sorry to hear that you have suffered with this - that's a very heartfelt video you've made. I've heard about these things but wasn't aware how common they are. It's really good that you have taken the trouble in promoting awareness of this condition and its good for the viewer to stop and consider life's potential problems. I'd like to wish you well and hope you are able to connect with the positive things in life. Your friend.........Steve
@thelmalou475 You know how i feel about you! I'm the lucky one!! I babbled through this video but I had to do and I had to get it out. Great, now I'm crying! lol
I thought it would have a healing effect. I just want to help someone...
@smilingsandra ~ it is common and it's only after it happened to me that a whole world of people opened up! They suffer in silence. They don't have to. If their aneuryms were found early like mine before rupture, they wouldn't be in wheelchairs etc.. sad ( . Thanks for your comment!
WOW, Keke. I am glad you survived your brain aneurysm. You are extremely lucky. Up until now I thought that there is absolutely no way of predicting whether a person has brain aneurysm or is about to have one. My office mate suddenly drop dead in the work place because of one. I work in a TV Network too and now I'm afraid that I might be a candidate for an attack. Thank you for sharing this amazing story about your near dead experience and informing us about the facts. You've just saved my life.
@chinaeyes22 - Next time I'm going to listen to my inner voice and follow my gut feeling. Because doctors can make mistakes sometimes. I won't dismiss the strong pain at the back of my head as just a mere headache next time. Thank you so much, Keke. Your aunt was watching over you that day! God bless us all. LIKED and FAVED this video. :-)
@chinaeyes22 ~ Your whole post has made me cry, thank you for taking time to write it. I don't want to scare anyone or cause stress. I just want others to realise it can happen. A simple mri can rule it out! One test and you can rule it out!
im glad ur alive....or i wouldnt have the best auntie in the world and u wouldnt be in my life...i feel u r the best thing in my life right now on youtube love ya bunches
That was a tough thing to have to go through" Back in the forties one had to have a strong faith in God or they didn't receive a second chance like we do now
@bubba007ss Believe me, without my strong faith now, I would not have made it.
I believe half of the hard battles we fight when face death are inner battles. We can choose to die and die. God held me in his arms and protected me. He made me strong. He made me feel safe. He made me want to live.
I know exactly how you felt. In August 2008 i had two of the same, i got two operations, same clipping. I was very lucky as everything works well on my body, i have no side effects, im healthy. In 2000 my mum had the same, she was not us lucky as we were, she died instantly, RIP.
Best of luck to you and good things for you in your life!
@RLaasberg ~ I'm so so sorry about your Mother. My heart breaks for you. Did you know you had an aneurysm then? Did yours rupture? I'm so happy to hear you are healthy and well. That warms my heart!
@KeKe10101000 Well i never thought about it really that much, you know to go and do the scan or anything like it. Mines did rupture, well one of them, another one was discovered after a second scan, just after my first operation. Thank for your good wishes and best of luck on everything you do :):):) Keep up the good spirit :)
I had lost a neighbor at the age of 36 to a brain aneurysm years ago. It shocked me!! A very good video and educational. Like PopularorNot said, lives will be saved - thanks for the share KeKe!
@phatmanwalkin Aneurysms are shocking, they come out of nowhere and just steal seemingly healthy people from us. I wonder if your neighbor had a family history. I also now wonder about your neighbors siblings or children. I did babble a lot but thank you so much for watching.
you're very attractive too, by the way!
