Don't believe people who say Doom 3 it's not scary ! We all know how those guys actually played the game... Maybe later in the game your not so scared because your used to the game, better weapons and stuff, but the first levels were you have only the pistol, shotgun and the rifflegun are scary. Whoever says Doom 3 it's not scary just don't believe him. His lying, or he didn't played the game like he cared, or from other reasons like he was high, or he played at noon with his entire family.

Uhh dude, I played this when I was 9...I don't find video games scary. Sure, when I'm walking down a dark hallway or something and a scream goes off I might say "holy crap, dude." and stuff but it just didn't scare me.

well man, I respect your opinion, but I don't think Doom 3 is that great. Honestly, I was disappointed, I expected much more. As a hardcore gamer, I think there are a lot of FPS by far better than Doom 3: Duke Nukem 3D, System Shock 1 and 2, original Doom titles, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Thief 1/2/3, Half Life 1 and 2, Farcry, Halo, Deus Ex...

on the other hand, I don't think Doom 3 is scary. Too much "boo!" for my taste. Take a look at one level in Thief Deadly Shadows:

The Shalebridge Cradle. Believe me, that level is SCARY. Much more than the entire Doom 3 and the entire expansion(Resurrection of Evil). THAT'S TERROR MY FRIEND! :S

May I ask if in Doom 3 the enemys can´t respawn in nightmare mode? Because in this video it seems they can´t but I know that in Doom 1 and 2 the enemys respawn on nightmare mode.

no, they don't respawn. They increase difficulty with a different way.

its always been funny trying to punch zombies and use flashlight and im actually playing the game on nightmare right now, dont like it that much when energy goes down to 25. cuz then ill be losing easily and its been funny trying to shoot the ugly zombies' bodies apart. their bodies fall down, then to skeleton and then to organs and then gone, funny when ugly dead zombies get whacked
