Did anyone notice when you use splash woman's weapon, megaman is wearing the same colours as bad box art megaman?

Start off with splash women and then concrete man an then go in order of which ever weapon is most effective to the nxt robot master

AND in magma mans stage u can take out the dragon with the black hole bomb with in 3 passes

It will suck in all his fire off his body and im pretty sure the dragon frowns wen it happens Its kinda funny

Hey aqualung, great review as always. I'm curious though, did you know that dr. wily's bank account number actually stands for the original japanese release date of the original mega man, December 17, 1987? It's a pretty neat little Easter egg of sorts in my opinion.

Mega Man 9 if not the best is certainly up there with the top-tier Mega Man games. Namely 2 and 3. Lots of cool and unique ideas, wicked soundtrack, and awesome weapons.

10 is an entirely different story. I'll just say it's not as good as 9 and leave it at that.

@AqualungGameReviews Actually, the Hornet Chaser does work, you just have to spam a bunch of them out as many of them will go after the plug balls and hamburger robots but if you go far enough right to where there aren't very many enemies on screen or if you just spam enough, one of the hornets will pick up the screw.

A good strategy for the Fire Dragon mini-boss: Use Galaxy Man's weapon. It swallows up all the Fry Guys and does very good damage to the dragon. And when he doesn't have Fry Guys on his body, he won't attack.

I've got to be honest with you. The Review is great and all but I really don't like Megaman 9. It just hasn't the Flair the old Megaman Games have. Something is missing...the Stage Themes aren't that good mostly, there's no Weapon that stands out like Metal Blade or Pharaoh Shot...something just isn't right.

Excellent walkthrough.

Mega Man 9 is the best classic Mega Man title, if you ask me. The music is amazing and the design is impeccable. The difficulty could be trying at first, but that makes overcoming it all the more satisfying. It's simply one of the best games ever created, and it's unfortunate that some refuse to give it a chance because of "outdated graphics."

In my personal opinion, I always thought that this game was a bit too close to Mega Man 2's feel. Don't get me wrong, I like Mega Man 9 a lot, and it's great to get a bit of nostalgia, but I always thought Mega Man 10 was more on an original path than 9 was and it felt like Mega Man 3 or 4 when it came to diverting away with new enemies yet old ones as well.

Agree with pretty much everything. MM6 was very lazy compared to all the cool ideas jumping out at you here. Tricky Dr. Wily bosses as opposed to big things shooting the crap out of you, non-stop intense platforming instead of pausing every other screen to shoot some big, stationary target, special weapons you actually want to use and the extra modes all make this a contender for dethroning MM2 as the best MM game.

Awesome review as usual. I liked Mega Man 9 but really missed some of the features that were introduced in games 4-6, so in my view it was an okay but not an excellent Mega Man game. It certainly is on par the first, fourth or seventh for entertainment value and, in my personal opinion, head shoulders above 10, but still just an okay Mega Man game.

good walkthrough though imo this is the worst classic megaman. it has flat level and uninspired design with traps that will hit you 100% the first time which is not fair. This game WAS cheap. Tacking away mechanics also made me not like it. It felt liike a step back. Personally I think they should have updated the old megaman sprite he looks so dated compared to the robot masters and enemies. Honestly, I don't think this game had any new ideas. It felt like a cheap romhack that's how I felt

I'd compare this game to I Wanna Be The Guy, at first it's really difficult, much trial and error as well as figuring out patterns is needed, but once you know everything about it it's a breeze. (As of right now I've been I Wanna Be The Guy exactly ten time)

I think this games has too much trial and error. I beat it(just barely) but still. It took me forever to get the hang of it. I wouldn't recommend it to newcommers. The soundtrack and weapons are awesome though.
