I can get to Stage 5 without dying, but I need a Cross/Triple Shot for Frankenstein's Monster. Then the Axe Lord Hall (Before Death) kicks the crap out of me, then Death gives the finishing blow.

Have you ever tried holy water? that weapon is OVERPOWERED in that castlevania :) Holy water/ triple shot, you can even kill death without giving it a chance to attack

The enemies become very strong when you reach the end of the Stage 4. If you get hit by the Frankenstein's Monster four times, you die. I believe that the bone monsters guarding the final room subtract four bars from your health meter each time they hit you. The enemies in Stage 5 can also kill you in four hits. You went farther than I did in Stage 5. You made it to Grim Reaper, but I made it to the long room where the Medussa's heads and the Axe Armor attacked me and killed me.
