When I was a little kid my mom used to play this all the time during car rides. For some reason I thought they were saying lunar ticks instead of lunatics. When i asked my mom what a lunar tick was she laughed, called me a dummy and told me they're saying lunatics not lunar ticks. I think she was surprised that i was even paying attention to the lyrics.

Whenever i hear Brain Damage i always remember lunar ticks. It's a nice memory i share with this song :)

It's not for syd barett that's what wish you where here was for.He got to zoned out with drugs and they had to get someone else to sing and one day they just didn't go pick him up before a show and that's basically how they kicked him out and they wrote wish you where here because they missed him.Next time they seen syd which was the last time any of them seen him was 7 yrs after they kicked him out and no one even knew who he was when he walked in to see them.
