*nod* It's all Hirohito-era Japan, from what I can tell. Axis Japan had surprisingly minimal mingling with their Allies....and their alliance was, if I remember, mostly based on an "enemy of my enemy" observation. That "enemy" being Stalinist Russia. It didn't do them even the least bit of good in the end.

Most of it is of Hirohito-ruled Japan, and of the various massacres the Japanese committed in their conquest of China.

The Japanese have....shall we say, problems coming to terms with the darker elements of their national past. They've never really "apologized" for anything.
