  • @lesgrisout @zirsandrix

Inland taipan is typically shy compared with several other species.Deadliness consists of various factors, including temperament, fangs effectiveness, venom dose and toxicity, strike position etc and the black mamba king cobra eastern brown coastal taipan several Najas(like cape cobra Egyptian cobra Philippines cobra) are considered as highly deadly.

  • To the batcave!!

  • KING COBRA is the deadliest and venomous snake in the world...

  • @irishxxx5150 You mean you look for deadly snakes?

  • lmfao! at like :20 those kids called "him crazy whiteman"

  • Lol, "Run for you life mate"

  • I'm no snake expert but I know my South African rather well. That green snake does not look like a boomslang. Not like Steve the legend to make mistakes. He did say that it had cytotoxic venom and I know for a fact that Boomslangs have hemotoxic venom.

Can anyone else identify the snake to back me up or prove me wrong?

  • @Billcasiopost

The prominate diamond pattern running along the side of the snake as well as the large eyes and pointed angled snout indicate it is indeed a boomslang. Maybe you have seen a different colour variation than the one in the video. Females are olive brown. Male boomslangs can be anywhere from bright green, brownish black to bluish green in colour.

You are right the boomslang has haemotoxic venom not cytotoxic. I thought Steve would have known the difference between the two.

  • i liked him sooo muck when i was a kid

  • "jumbo"!! translation: "there's somethin you dont see everyday... a guy in a jeep"!!

  • You'll be forever missed mate!!!

  • "which is WILD" lol gotta love steve

  • wow, whip scorpion, i never heard of those.

  • The chamillion was probably in a hurry to gtfo away from the snake.. and then Stevo slowed her down.. lol

  • Eat da poo poo !

  • i still cant believe he wrestled crocs handled wild poisionness snakes with no antivenom and finnaly got done in by a freakin fish man i mish him rip steve

  • 3:27 "Hey mate, how areya?" LOL! Steveo ftw.

  • 0:49 Beauty

  • when 99% of people are in a tree with a boomslang, they jump out the tree as fast as they can....But when Steeve sees one, he goes running and climbing right for it! ha!

gotta love him, nobody quite like Steve, RIP.

  • This may be a little late, but in regards to what suba1234 posted on the correctness of Irwin's comment that the boomslang is cytotoxic:

Technically, boomslangs are cytotoxic. "Cytotoxic" is a term meaning "damaging to cells," and applies to several different types of toxin. Haemotoxins are toxins that damage blood cells, and are part of the Cytotoxin family. Therefore, you are correct that boomslangs are haemotoxic, but Irwin is also correct in saying that it is cytotoxic.

  • very daring guy, the way he handles these reptiles is giving me a heart attack.

sadly got killed by a ray.

  • He's a great guy....but his daughter's a pain in the arse.

  • suba1234...Give it up. The only people that might believe what you say over what Irwin said are people who didnt like Irwin. You will never convince Irwin fans like myself because they will believe someone who means something to them over someone who means nothing. And its not disrespecting you its just reality. So stop wasting your time. Or get your own show and try to convince Animal Planet its worth watching.

  • The internet is full of know it alls like suba1234. Who are you going to believe? some smuck on the internet or a world renowned animal expert. Most of us would have died long ago if we had Steve's job. How he survived for so long is hard to understand. Rest in peace Steve Irwin you good man.

  • In 1957, well known herpetologist, Karl Schmidt died after being bitten by a boomslang. D.S. Chapman states that between 1919 and 1962 there were eight serious human envenomations by boomslangs, two of which were fatal. Boomslangs are shy, non-aggressive snakes which don't bite unless handled. Same applies for South African Vine Snakes.

  • Whoever was moronic enough to give me a minus for my remark should check out any link on the Boomslang and Vine Snake. Both are HAEMO not CYTO toxic. God forbid someone should correct wrong information when its spoken by Steve Irwin. His fans seem like a fanatical sect to me. I lived in South Africa, and some of this information is just wrong. Like that nonsense about back-fanged snakes needing to hook on to you to inject venom, or that they claim a lot of lives. Cf. expert, accurate literature.

  • Damn that stingray who killed Steve !!!

  • Steve was pure positive energy................

  • Holy crap, that cave is beautiful...

  • run for your life mate

  • Tho he took alot of risk...I learned more about the nature of animals than any one else...period great man... RIP

  • That skink was so cute.

  • that was a plated lizard he said its like the australian skinks but it isnt a skink

  • Well shoot, OK the plated lizard which looks like a skink but is not...is so cute. =P

  • ya it is cute

  • black mambas are named "black" not for the colour of their skin but for the colour of their mouth

  • Uncle Steve-O!

  • The boomslang is haemotoxic, not cytotoxic. Boomslang bites are in fact comparitively rare, as any medical literature on this topic from South Africa, for example will tell you. Almost all fatalities (less than 10) in the 60's-80's were snake catchers who underestimated it. Also although highly venomous, injects a small amount of venom through its 2mm fangs. Fatalities take about a week, although it takes a microscopic amount to kill.

  • MISS U DUDE!!

    R.I.P

  • he died bc0z of kucking sting ray may u rest in peace steve...T_T

  • he passed away dipshit!

  • IT WAS WORLDNEWS!! this guy was awesome..

  • @jayhoyt28 I know Boomslangs like to eat Chameleons, birds and even bird eating spiders!

  • fuck you boom slang, people actully buy these thinking there mildly venomous. infact they can kill people easily.

  • I didnt know they had whip scorpions in africa, i thought they could only be found in south america
