  • @weirdo3470 Is this the ssh______info of the computer I want to control and can it be reversed; controlling the Macbook Pro via the iMac desktop computer?

  • @weirdo3470 k, thanks!

  • what is the password should to typing when I need to sharing with another mac computer ,, ?

  • oh man that's so sweet, does this work with the white 2008 imacs too?

  • u have half american and half british accent its so cool

  • @ilikepiewars good observation. It´s called Irish..

  • uhmm, how do you get them to share screens? I keep being asked for the password, but what password does it need? i tried my imac's password, and the password from my macbook. i am denied. you mention it is a tutorial, but you never really taught us how to connect just information on what it can do....

  • @JuApPles yes!!!!! its doing it to me. wat password do i use ive used so many. ughh

  • @Hector95100 i just typed in my user ID for whatever mac i wanted to connect, then i typed in the password i use to log in. presto!

  • @JuApPles If you get an answer to this question, I would like to know how myself. I manage to what I thought was connect the two but the screens were not sharing and I did not understand how to do anything like file sharing either. I just got a window open that was the terminal. I thought I sent files to the other system but when I check, they were not there..

  • yes i am very dumb and while your in "3rd class" learn to spell.

  • FYI I am going to go to University next year. And WTF are u talking bout learning to spell? U dumbass!

  • Omgzzzz Apple copied Microsoft omgomgzzzzz.

    Sorry had to be said.

  • @Kataroku The Oposite Happens For Years....

  • my imac keeps changing its sharing name..it says that its already on the network..WTF..it keeps changing it to imac (2)..imac (3) imac (4) etc...everytime it wakes up from sleep...

  • You can do this over iChat.

  • i have a pc block with power and network cables plugged in and when windows boots up it automatically runs free remote control server as service and all i have to do is to start the client on my laptop and i get full illusion of actually working on that pc as it works in full screen. well done macs anyway..

  • you could do that on a mac for years! it has always been a part of the iChat application which comes with every mac.

  • yeah does it come with the mac or do you need your own home network?

  • does screen sharing come with a mac?

  • yes

  • So without a moblie me account you can only do this over your own network?

  • yes that right.

  • @ryanbycraft No, you can get a AIM account and use this on iChat. If both parties have a Mac, it works. No need to get a MobileMe Account.

  • if you set this up on a good pc, and a bad pc, could you game on the bad pc? (Using the power of the good pc)

  • @surferstapleton if the bad pc is really bad, no you could not do it, because it won't have power to render hq video signal stream coming from the good pc fast enough

  • so this is only on snow leopard?

  • its on leopard also.

  • lol i like how your dell computer is worth around £50 and yet it still compares with your mac.

  • Remote desktop has been around for the Mac for awhile, Leopard was the first OS from apple to make it very apparent.

  • hey dave,i like your videos....plz make a video about macbook pro as soon as you here more rumours or info about the updated macbook pros of early 2010,because im planning on getting one and im waiting for apple to release there new updated macbook pros

  • wow that was a really cool demo of how to do that

  • i need to get a mobile me account

(i spent all my money on black Friday :'(

  • I discovered it by accident when setting up an external HDD. Didn't think I'd use it, but have actually begun using it daily to oversee projects from my easy chair in the living room!

  • lol, so you can use the macbook pro as a 'dumb' remote, i agree, thats all mine was good for

  • fancy meeting you here! i wonder if you could play a prank on someone by taking over their computer temporarily.

  • Blimey you can talk fast :P

  • Great video, I use the screen sharing feature why I am at work sometimes. I only have Windows XP at work so I use a VNC viewer and can remote control my iMac over the internet with out the need for MobileMe account.

  • all this is is VNC, its been around for a while and isint that big a deal

  • dont u need mobile me??

  • That's if you do it over the net. This is over his home network so you don't need Mobile Me.

  • Thats very good

  • 5:00 DEMON

  • what?

  • There was a weird thing in the video... around that point

  • it hasnt fully processed yet. ffs how many people dont get this

  • are you irish?

  • @Idutchman he just uploaded it, wait 10 minutes.

  • 15 Minutes for HD to Activate Fully.
