im 13 and i just had 26 joint injections 3 weeks ago and i felt good until today now im back to excrutiating pain,
any advice,
my meds are: humira shot, methotrexate pills, steroid pills, folic acid pills, celebrex pills, vitamen d pills, tylenal pills and a remecade infusion once a week
I used to have arthritis pain all throughout my body, had pain for years and years, not until a friend of mine told me about an all natural, little known protein, did my pain go away.
It's been my experience with RA that the limping never looks quite` as bad as you think it does. I get a bit paranoid about it sometimes when I'm walking down the street, but if I see my reflection I realise it's not that noticeable. I thought you were walking fine. :)
Do the rheumatoid drugs help at all? What about the side effects? Is diet important? {I eat pretty well and take care of myself well. I use heat and ice. I exercise no matter what.} This is getting pretty bad. Sometimes I wonder, "do I want to live like this?" I love life but it seems now my arthritis and the constant pain and the worry about the future {what am I gonna be like in 2-3-4-5 years?} make me feel like, "wow. This really stinks."
It is worrying me now. Long term joint damage, etc. I didn't like the drugs tne last time. {Steroids didn't help me at all.} The drugs for rhematoid arthritis. I read up on some of the drugs. Ever read the fine print? Geez. I was on this one drug for awhile that can make you go blind. Fun.....I'm on a 5,000 dollar deductible medical plan too. If I had my old insurance I'd have gone back to a rheumatologist a long time ago. { I pay 400 a month for the 5,000 deductible.} What do you think??
I get a cortisone injection as often as possible and have the knees drained but how often can you do that.............and the more you do it the less effective it is and the shorter the duration of success. My wrists really bother me now and my fingers are pretty sore {and somewhat swollen.} My shoulders are bad too. Sometimes I can't even reach up to turn the light off when I'm in bed. I thought it would maybe go away like it did the last time.......but no such luck. It is getting worse.
I'm 55 now. I've always been athletic. Even a few years ago I was in the top 3 or 4 in my state racing bicycles. I had a bad accident last September. Ever since I've had rheumatoid symptoms. {I had a mysterious onset about 5 years ago. I was on rheumatioid drugs for 4 months and it mysteriously went away.} It has been bad since the accident. My knees swell. They swell bad enough so there is fluid run off into the lower part of my leg and my calfs and ankles have excess fluid. {next}
I have an arthritis that affects only one side of my body which is my right side. But there is no cure for it. There are often relapses and remission. And in my case, muscles inflammatory often follows.
