The thing that made this all the more funnier was the fact that Will and Phil had just had this heart to heart talk, and you were left with the impression that Carlton was going to open up too. He did, but it wasn't in the way we all expected, which was hilarious.

It didn't work out like they were expecting, but in this scene they're just kind of sharing their feelings. and the scene starts, where everyone is expecting Carlton to say something deep and meaningful about an experience with injustice.
