Some comments:

1, wondering if this recorder has been run in at all because it sound quite rough (around 3khz)with all the mics here, its cheaper brother, the PD680 sounded a lot smoother in an other site.

2, Beware there are considerable variations between different vintages of the mics even the top ones like the Sanken CS3e, I have tried a few and talked to other people to get their opinion. Only the sales people did not share my view on this. Now you have to add my previous observation too..

At 3:22 is that a Sanken COS-11? Kind of looks like it. I love those mics as a backups for sure. Great sound quality Lavaliers. I find them the best. Never used the recorder that you are using. But I used older Tascam before, the DAT and HD - P2.
