  • Beverlee was so good as was Michael. I can't recall but did Mindy ever feel any shame for sleeping with Alex's husband?

Never understood the appeal of Julie for either Hart or Dylan.

Sherry Stringfield was great. Her Blake had a good mix of strength and vulnerability.

  • Alex just will never say die. I really hate Mindy's veil. She looked lovely at her wedding to Kurt. Alex had made a deal with the devil (Roger) to get Nick. Bridget is chasing Hart. He was "in love" with Mallet's little sister Julie at the time. I'm with Hart on this 1. Roger did cause Grandpa Jessup's death by stealing his land & that he didn't know they were shirttail related is no excuse. Is Blake saying if Roger had caused the death of some other innocent old man it would have been fine?

  • When McKinsey left in August 1992, I quit every soap on CBS, even though ATWT hadn't done anything wrong. Y&R blew it that April when they started depicting John Abbott casting an eye toward Jill after she'd blackmailed her way into Jabot. But no matter how silly GL would often get, if Beverlee was there, I'd never leave. Her appropriate last scene with Zaslow, his hand grasping her throat, needs to be on here too if anyone has it. What a team.

  • Beverly's approach and style is rarely seen today. Very few actresses have that quality which seems to elevate their performances when it seemed like they weren't even trying. For Beverly it was completely natural..even her early days on Another World and Texas. I still remember her debut on GL..on Beverly could pull that sort of entrance off.

I wish she had continued to work but she decided she had enough. A real sad day when I learnedof her passing back in May.

  • She had all those years of theater training. Not common today.

  • This is the type of storytelling that GL is missing today. The actors are there, the acting is there, but the writing stinks (with the continuity).

GL used to be character driven, not plot driven. Ellen...bring back the good GL or leave!

  • You certainly couln't tell that they didn't get along! Their onscreen chemistry was amazing! I was enthralled by their every scene together.

Boy, when you messed with McKinsey's Alex, there would be hell to pay!!! I LOVE her!

  • Kimberley Simms had such a knack for making you really pull for Mindy to get what she wanted...when she cried, she broke your heart.

  • Michael Zaslow [Roger] and Beverly Mckinsey[Alex] were the light during the time they worked together if they didn't get along it seemed to only add to the on screen tension between them

  • I love the dynamics between Alex and Roger. Beverlee McKinsey and Michael Zaslow are two of the finest and most powerful actors of all time.

  • Although supposedly the inside scoop was that McKinsey and Zaslow couldn't stand each other's acting styles. Zaslow was more relaxed, while McKinsey was more intense. But ironically I share your opinion, the show was at it's best when McKinsey and Zaslow were both on.

  • Beverlee herself stated that she and Michael didn't get along well. It was in an interview in 2000, I believe, with Soap Opera Digest.
