I read all of the great reviews on various boards about these untouched firearms so i decided to get an untouched Francotte Martini. I't arrived in short order and when i unboxed it, it looked like the photo, dirty grimey etc:
After i cleaned it, i discovered that it was a POS rust bucket. Now i am completely gubshy when it comes to these untouched arms and i want a Brunswick soo bad!!
@mikey29211 I also, got into this by buying a Francotte. The Francottes for some reason received the worst storage conditions. While I have shot mine, I don't think any of them should be shot. They were the Nepal smiths first try at the 577/450 rnd, and most rifles didn't come out so good. I no of no one who got a nice one, and I'm on 3 diff. martini forums. Don't be afraid of an untouch MKII or a MK IV. Sure you may have a stock split but you can fix it and parts abound.
I feel very fortunate on getting rifles in this nice of shape, the MK II is in awesome shape under the dirt and grime. The thing is, when they pull an "untouched" rifle off the pile at IMA, it could just as easily need stock repairs due to a corroded stock bolt.
@supermaucat I've used brake fluid as a cleaner before, but I am going to experiment a little this time and try other things to see how they work. One thing I'm going to try is Murphy's oil soap.
I meant yay not yea!

Good footage Darren. Looks good in Hd too. What kind of camera do you have?

@Iraqveteran8888 I'm using the Sony HDR-HC7, it shoots in 1080i or less if I choose.

Great vid as was the first. Lucky on the untouched option! Can't decide to do the same myself or not- save lots of money, but risky...
