  • Heavy shit

She killed her boyfriend and upon seeing what a terrible thing she done, she killed herself. Now she passes through a field of cuteness offering just one last view of beauty that offers but fragile solace as she is plagued by shame and she knows her fate. The cat allows her one final moment of peace as she releases a token of the man she does not deserve and says goodbye. She will soon enter those gates, and reality will set in and she will be cold and alone and it's all her fault.

  • I think she jumped in front of a train after her boyfriend left her, and the locket is about letting go, maybe...

  • At first I thought this was about letting go... now I think she killed herself 0_0

  • bit.ly - gSogfq

    Replace "-" for /

You have to make the window changes into a rectangle. Like this:

    I----I

    I.....I

    I----I

What does she have in hand? Now , when she stop crying right click it and press "Reproduce". (Sorry for the lame english :P)

  • 1:52 background u can see the door to the hell

  • @nara0809 and @pixiepixiegirl : The link didn't work. Can you just tell me what the creepy part is, please?

  • I didn't think there was an indication that she killed her boyfriend either, but then I saw the OTHER clip. Go to geocities.co.jp/AnimeComic-Brush/4033/natsumi-step/naki.htm and watch. You'll see that she's upset and crying. When it ends... right click and click "Play" again. You'll see what I'm talking about.

  • 0:19 does that moon seem firmiliar?

  • she seems happy for going to hell

  • no mato a nadie se maot porke a la puta ya no la kerian

  • look at the clock at 1:08 and compare it to 0:49.... they are the same time. plus why is it still so bright when it's 7:36 pm?!

  • This video is about a girl who commited suicide and despite the cheerful atmosphere... she's going to the hell.

  • @KevinZS Thank you,for repeating the highest rated comment.

  • @BobTheWaitress there wasn't this comment last time I checked... maybe something changed. Furthermore, I'm not amused with your sarcastic comment frankly.

  • @KevinZS Sorry,I thought you were one of those idiots who always repeats the highest rated comment so they can get thumbs up themselves :|

  • @BobTheWaitress it's alright. No hard feeling taken.

  • and also the sign that appears at 0:07 looks like the chinese character 死, which means 'death'

  • So sad. I love this video ;/

  • watch?v=eztNkZmyka4&feature=related

    This shows the whole secret

  • Two years later and I see all the clues have been pointed out by you brave souls. I'm so proud. ;_;

  • At 1:30, there are two signs. The top one looks like ten 59. In japanese, 5 is pronounced as "go", and 9 is pronounced as ku. Therefore ten59 is ten.go.ku which is heaven in japanese.

The bottom one looks like Gi59, which is pronounced as jigoku which is hell. So the place where she is palying with those adorable creatures is the boundary of heaven and hell. Later you will find out that, they are heading toward the direction of hell :(

  • @chi3x10 XD! GOKU!

  • At 0:49, the text on the top left corner says Natsumi Andoh, 23:36. In what place on earth can be so bright at 11:36pm?? It implies that this place is not earth. At 1:08, as the train approaching the platform, the clock in the background says 11:36. That means she step down the platform and kill herself at 11:36.

  • You can tell it's not Earth because you SEE the Earth (at 0:36). The text at 0:49 says *arrives* at 23:36 (着), meaning she's arrived in this place between the real world, heaven and hell at that time.

  • At around 0:40, She step down the vehicle, which she is not supposed to, because she found those adorable creatures and would like to have fun with them. Later at 1:05, the driver of the vehicle found out whoever sitting in the passenger seat is not Natsumi. At 1:12, after the driver finds out he is taking the wrong one, he rushes back to pick up Natsumi. At 1:24, you can see the driver is very upset and the background shows a weapon of the death.

  • She went to the hell at the ending. at 1:51, you can see the hell's gate.

she went to the hell because she killed her boyfriend and commited suicide

  • whee i can see the gate^^

  • Natsumi Andoh had a fight with her bf. She commited suicide before the subway. ( I would call it) Like people say, that sign means death when we first see her. As she riding through heaven, she quietly gets off the train, and somebody takes her place. A few minutes later, the guy driving the train notices that it isn't her and send the people flying. He re-picks her up, and they leave heaven. On the way the hell, she tells the driver to stop by the sea and throws the necklace from her boyfriend.

  • never before has suicide looked so fun or cute.

I'm not sure if I should be happy about that or not.

  • hell looks pretty fun...

  • Can someone like teahc me what the frk does this vid mean man!!??!?!?! LOL

i know its bout suicide..tell me the hints/clues on how you know that

  • I really like the hidden msg in the video, sensible ppl would find the clue.

    Here is the translation.

    I know my english sucks.

please kindly correct me if i am wrong :)

In the very beginning in this anime ( in 0:08 ), there is a sign with an world 死, which means "die". Afterwards, she argued with her bf and being abandoned.

In 0:48, u know the girl is called Natsumi Andoh, and yes, as everyone says, she arrived at 23:36. Referring to 1:08, the clock displayed 23:36,

  • the title of this flash video is called " Natsumi Step!", that means Natsumi decided to leap off the platform and commited suicide in the train station since she was in a deep depression after her bf broke up with her.

In the video, we can see that Natsumi played with the lovely characters. She was unwilling to go to the hell, and left the train quietly.

  • So in 1:13, the passengers are 2 other characters but not Natsumi. In 1:18, the train driver(aka the god of death) left them and went to find her immediately as she killed her bf (despite the fact that no clue is found in this video) and committed suicide, it was impossible for her to stay in the heaven (in religious views), she must go to the hell. She said Goodbye to the playmates and started her journey to the hell.

  • In 1:29, there were 2 signs that indicates Natsumi was in the boundary between the Heaven and the hell .

Natsumi arrived the destination which is a dark and remote region, probably they were in the hell.

Lastly, in 1:47, Natsumi threw the necklace ,which is a gift from her bf, to the sea. She smiled and followed the god of death. There was a door with a bat ( so called the door of death) if we look carefully. ;)

  • All the non-human characters in this videos are old 2channel memes (you can spot Zonu, Shii, Giko, Fusegiko, Shiraneyo, Hattoushin, Ichisan, stuff like that).

The train driver is Mona, which I would not call "god of death".

  • So she commited suicide??

  • Sugoi!!! ^.^ Natsumi kawaii!!! You did really well!!!

  • There is no any sign that the girl killed her boyfriend at all. She just killed herself.

  • Hell is pretty damn cute, then

  • wow, my sister gets it now!! hey, anyone got an article or the real deal on the 'natsumi andoh' or whatever? ive tried looking it up and it only comes up with natsumi step... is it a real story?

  • It was one of the best works in a flash competition in Japan in 2003(?not sure which year)

  • Yeah. Basically what happens is that Natsumi Andoh committed suicide when she broke up with her boyfriend. I'm not sure if she killed her boyfriend but whats going on is that shes taking a train ride to hell since you cant go to heaven when you do suicide. If you dont believe me, look at 1:51. Thats Hell's gate right over there. Hope that helped u nyuu. =3

  • why is it that the japanese take it upon themselves to make depressing things happy? this suicide and murder has been made happy and shit... and there was a jap song that could've been the happiest song ever, save the fact that the lyrics were about heart break or breaking up or something...

however, i did enjoy this the first time and thought it extremely cute and funny...

my sister still doesnt understand even after reading all the comments... she's very unjapanese... and very unsmart

  • 安堂ナツミの物語!

    「安堂」という駅は、近鉄大阪線にあります。

    Natsumi Andoh's story.

"Andoh" stasion in the Kintetsu Osaka Line.

  • "step" into, you know...

    1:08

    7/23 23:36, Natsumi has "arrived(=着)"

    1:57

  • What's the charater "着" at 0:47 at where the date and time of her death?

  • it can be a sad tragedy. just depends on how you see things. it is a cute portrayer of a suicidal theme.

  • Please, stop saying it is cute :

it's about suicide, the "happy atmosphere" is just a layer ...

  • Wow, cute cat is a death god. Poor Natsumi. :(

  • The is no part that shows her getting in front of a train!

  • quite subtle. plus the song use "i've been working on the railroad", in jap is called "the train continues forever". i guess they are hinting that this girl suicide by jumping down the train.

  • in heaven her dying time recorded at 23:36. in the train station, there's the clock behind, shows 23:36 if u look very very closely.

  • This girl killed the boyfriend.

    And she commits suicide.

It is a story where she goes to the hell.

  • GWAA!! SHII!! Where did you find this?

  • It's suicide, very explicit. 'ten 59', 'G59' at about 129, read it in Japanese. The direction train is going is 'G59' hell, where animals are is 'ten59' heaven

  • this is not obvious for people who have no knowledge of japanese

  • and another minute to write that comment haha

  • ok i am sooooo scared from life that was creepy what is your problem!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Tis is not about a cute video...

That cutie train driver is kind of god of death,

Natsumi suicide by jumping off the train platform, and the driver is driving her to the hell. Natsumi Step means her step stepping down the platform and die...

  • Here are some hints to find hidden meanings in this cute animation:

    1. Although it's bright outside, Natsumi's arrival time is 23:36. The clock at the station is also 23:36.

    2. The Earth in the sky.

    3. Red petals. (In Japan, it's a metaphor of blood.)

    4. Gray flags.

    5. Scythes.

    6. The fish train (running on the Styx?)

  • foos your thinking to hard! it's an anime/manga. it's like that. styled like that i mean. she and her bf broke up and she's sad, but she doesn't let it keep her down. she's seeing life in a new way, happy. the necklace? probably something her bf gave her and she threw it away cuz she wants to forget her hardships.

  • dude, she dies

  • 1:51, you can see the hell's gate.

  • She's jumping in front of a train.

  • when did she do that i only saw her waiting for the bus/trian

  • how is it about Suicide????

  • Yes, yes, Flesh. Be smart, why dontcha. ;)

  • Suicide AND murder. Look closer, children ;)

  • I hope you guys know this is about suicide.

  • Cuteness overload ^^

  • so cute!
