Ahh, i remember being a noob in a 10 day's free trial, was the first MMORPG i played, at first i though WoW was an FPS cuz i accidentally zoomed at max and i didn't see my character xD.
It took me the whole 10 days to get only to lvl 8, not because it took me ages to do a quest, but because i rarely quested, i used to watch duels in Goldshire or just explore, i used to talk to people, i rarely ever quested.
Holy crap i can't believe I was such a noob once upon a time xD.
Close your eyes, listen to this and --- hopefully, if you were as lucky as I was to play from vanilla to the first few months of Cataclysm --- have a seemingly endless cascade of memories, some sweet and others bitter, come flooding back to you. It's a nice feeling, though it's saddening to know that none like those memories will ever be made again in such a rich and beautiful environment.

So I accept it, and he starts hitting me. I'm running for my life for about 25 seconds. Finally, I read by the chat bubble "_____ has fled from Hacklaga in a duel"...I won my first ever duel. :)

back in the days when gear didnt matter to join raids when i was rollin' with some of the best guilds got the pins and pencils wrote down gear i wanted but sometimes blizz can go against you by letting out a new expansion called burning crusad (do not resist the game) but i was like fuck that wow will never be the same.

Wow, I'm completely serious about this. Reading all of the comments and listening to this music brings back such good memories. Reminiscing with everyone on here yet, not knowing any single person. This made me tear up a little bit. Elywnn Forest will, and always be my most favorite zone.

I remember when i first got this game and it was installing and downloading the patches. i was reading the manual and getting so excited. finally it was ready to play and 2 am. i had school the next morning but i said fuck it , playing this for hours. logged in and chose a human and as soon as i heard this music i fell in love. me and my friend would play for hours and drink in the lions pride inn. then i go to serious in it and it lost the magic, it just became a numbers game for me. so i quit
i first logged into wow on a human mage. not knowing what to expect from this crazy world of dwarfs and elfs. it was nighttime in elwynn and i was so overwhelmed and awestruck. the music at the time ment nothing to me. i made my way to goldshire and a huge battle broke out and it was so awesome to see the high levels. all i wanted was to be apart of them. now that im finaly there... all i want is to go back to being an awestruck noob. and this music is my only connection. :(

WoW Started to suck when WOTLK came out. I also always hang out in goldshire and all the lvl 70ers would sit around fires or duel. Everything was so epic. Then everyone just farmed and farmed and farmed and stayed in that horrible city Dalaran... And Cataclysm was just too much. Farm.Farm. Farm. Farm. Nobody knows anyone... Everyone just flyes around. No chance on meeting someone on the way to somewhere. Stopped playing ever since Cata came out. I'll wait until i forget about WoW and start again
I miss the time when all of the level 60's and 70's would gather in Goldshire just to duel over and over again....same with the outiside of Orgrimaar. But then Cataclysm came out, and everybody fucked off.

@Epicraptor1 I wasn't speaking solely from a gameplay point of view, The playerbase has degraded rapidly, due to WOTLK's Sharebear design drawing in tons of children and immature adults, the new dungeons and raids were interesting, however they ended up being impossible, not because of the difficulty, but because of the players in them.
Sad to know that we can never have the same experience like we did the first time we played, when everything was new and exciting. Nostalgia can be a bitch sometimes

This music brigns back LOTS of memories back in Goldshire. good bad. To me- They were al good. This song always realxs me. Ethier if im chatting waiting for a dungeon etc etc. Cata ruined those moments.. All the gys i chat to are ethier gone. Or have been replaced with some dumb 12 yr old.... Memories. Lost.

back in the days when gear didnt matter to join raids when i was rollin' with some of the best guilds got the pins and pencils wrote down gear i wanted but sometimes blizz can go against you by letting out a new expansion called burning crusad (do not resist the game) but i was like fuck that wow will never be the same.

far out i remember making a human rogue for the first time and accepting the quest just inside the gates of northshire from a guy and going to Goldshire, then walking through those gates and never forgetting the tune of this music. Also remember being such a noob and dying in Fargodeep Mine :(

I started playing like the first day wrath came out, but every time i run someone through MC or BWD, idk why but i feel like WoW deveopers are getting lazy with raid mechanics. DONT STAND IN FIRE OR YOU DIE thats all it is now. RIP vanilla

It's sad to know that my friend (Who joined in Cataclysm) will never know or truly appreciate old Vanilla WoW and its music ='(. I mean it took months to get money for an epic mount not 2 days, its just sad that no one will ever know again besides us old players.

Please help, I am suffering from extreme Nostalgia. I miss the old days so much, by old days I mean. Playing wow for the first time, discovering all the new places all my old friends everything, being a noob etc etc. Every time I think about the old days I almost cry my chest literally hurts because I want it so bad but I know I will never get it back. I want to just delete my memory of ever playing wow so I don't have to be so god damn nostalgic anymore. I know i'm a little bitch, but help

Wow, I'm completely serious about this. Reading all of the comments and listening to this music brings back such good memories. Reminiscing with everyone on here yet, not knowing any single person. This made me tear up a little bit. Elywnn Forest will, and always be my most favorite zone.

I remember when i first got this game and it was installing and downloading the patches. i was reading the manual and getting so excited. finally it was ready to play and 2 am. i had school the next morning but i said fuck it , playing this for hours. logged in and chose a human and as soon as i heard this music i fell in love. me and my friend would play for hours and drink in the lions pride inn. then i go to serious in it and it lost the magic, it just became a numbers game for me. so i quit

i first logged into wow on a human mage. not knowing what to expect from this crazy world of dwarfs and elfs. it was nighttime in elwynn and i was so overwhelmed and awestruck. the music at the time ment nothing to me. i made my way to goldshire and a huge battle broke out and it was so awesome to see the high levels. all i wanted was to be apart of them. now that im finaly there... all i want is to go back to being an awestruck noob. and this music is my only connection. :(

I would rather be a noob than a pro. Just the excitement of leveling up each time. Elwynn Forest was the biggest place in the world to me. I remember Goldshire and how great I thought it was, I miss the old times. :( I wanna go back.

WoW Started to suck when WOTLK came out. I also always hang out in goldshire and all the lvl 70ers would sit around fires or duel. Everything was so epic. Then everyone just farmed and farmed and farmed and stayed in that horrible city Dalaran... And Cataclysm was just too much. Farm.Farm. Farm. Farm. Nobody knows anyone... Everyone just flyes around. No chance on meeting someone on the way to somewhere. Stopped playing ever since Cata came out. I'll wait until i forget about WoW and start again

@Epicraptor1 I wasn't speaking solely from a gameplay point of view, The playerbase has degraded rapidly, due to WOTLK's Sharebear design drawing in tons of children and immature adults, the new dungeons and raids were interesting, however they ended up being impossible, not because of the difficulty, but because of the players in them.

I wish Blizzard would've kept the vanilla feel in Wotlk and Cata instead of making it feel even more grindy and boring at level 80-85... a lot of ppl like the new WoW but it just isn't the same..Everythings on easy mode now instead of normal.
