Interesting layout - nice job! It's good to see the various construction stages. With all your work into the layout, it's a shame you couldn't do better with the video; maybe next time: use a tripod, don't pan the camera very much (too much like a garden hose) and refer to a master layout map as intro to each section. Just think it thru a bit, as you obviously did when building that impressive layout.
Do you operate realisticly or just to watch the trains run? I'm trying to decide that for my own railroad and have been asking around for opinions. By the way you have a really nice layout and beutiful scenery!!
@dep92 What do you mean by "do you operate your trains realistically" . I'm asking because I would like to have a purpose for setting up my layout but can't come up with any ideas.
@LorenzoHenderson Well I've read about car cards and waybills, and switching order sheets and the use of fast clock's. All to make a model railroad run like the real thing. I have not used any of these YET, but I plan on using the car card and waybills on the layout I'm working on now. Feel free to send me a message, I have a couple web sights I've found that explain things better than I can and 1 has free downloads for the car cards and waybills.
i have question... my railway doesnt work so well... there is power on some parts of it but then on other power dissapears :( i have video about it, please watch and help :) thanks

Nice layout, crappy video. Next film then remove the sound. Then record what you were saying in a quiet room with a nicer mic and add it to the video. You can do it all in movie maker or iMovie.
Ok now this is weird, I call my cat a turd all the time...... lol, must be a model railroader thing huh, lol... nice layout byt he way, I wish I had that much room to run train in.
i just love how the train just rides so smoothly on the tracks. you got me staring all deep into the computer screen as if i'm mesmerized. that was really cool. and nice camera angles, movements, and shots as well.
Actually I don't have that large a collection. Probably less than 100 cars, 8 locos at the most. I've just been gradually picking thins up as I go along....
I love the intricity of your layout. Each portion has its own flavor and attitude persay. If you could "guess-timate" here, what do you think would be the final production cost of your layout, once completed?
my cat is a turd too and ive got 3 cats there piss anoyin coz they try pushing my trains off the track so when i go away from my railway i got to close door or wen i go out of attick they can open door i hide my trains in tunnels and they wait for them to come out
hi thanks m8. Have you got any other good tips for building a layout that you could share as you have done a really good job on yours and seem to know your stuff when it comes to trains. Thanks M8
hi m8 nice job on the layout there. Its bloody mint. I just started building my own. Just wondering did you paing strait onto the foam or did you plaster it first? Thanks man
hi i was just wondering over here in the uk i buy from hornby but i hate there diesel locos would you be able to tell me what company does the ones you have and the price for an average union paciffic/santa sd40 8 axle would be? because my mate said there about $279 each... is that rue as over here you can buy a set of like 2 trains a full circle of trak plus a lot of rolling stock
cool do they run on 00 gauge track and would they run of my power supply which is a standard hornby dcc controller although it can power non dcc trains if so would you be selling anyit doesnt matter if not but ivf so how much also i dont mind about how powerfull it is i just really like the look of them also what maje are they and i would sorta like one that looks like the on at 3.40 could you tell me the name of that
Hi, your layout works great, I put all your video in my favorites, will be building a o scale layout, and would like to use you tricks, with the foam, it really came out great, nice job,

I like how you ring the perimeter of your room so as to not take up all your space, provide easy access to all your rails, and still have an impressive layout. Your layout thinks outside the box. I think a lot of people think you have to have your entire layout on a single board. I have found that it takes real creativity in this kind of layout to fill in the empty space in the middle. Your layout solves the problem and doesn't waste space. Thanks for posting. Some great ideas on your page to.
Well, what helps me get away with not having peninsulas in the room is switching to N scale. I used to model in HO but I could not do what I wanted to do with the space constraints I had.
