The health benefits when done right are very desirable. (Good blood pressure, low cholesterol, etc). Possible with non-veggie too but once you're used to it this way, you can be lazy as hell and still be in the green! My dad is 52 and we eat pizza nearly every week and his recent checkup said he had the health of a young man!
It can be...it's 2 degrees out right now...but I'm raw in upstate N.Y. (like Rochester)) and loving it! It's possible if it's what you want. If it's not, that's cool too. I don't think NeedMoreWater should knock any veggies either though. I was a veggie for a year and some months before going raw. It's all about what's best for you and your body. Happy eating!
Awesome! You have proven me wrong then. I am just use to hot foods that are vegan. Mostly everybody makes soup and sandwiches, or a salad in restaurants that are not vegan. That is your option in some places.
I'm raw in Alaska - we can have weeks of 30 BELOW!
Warm food from a dehydrator, and blender soups with cayenne pepper and other spicy foods make it cozy. All the added health and energy even makes me feel warm - and I'm usually cold!
i've found it ridiculously easy to loosely follow the recipe & instead of mincing certain things, just throw all the veggies in a blender together. all the nuts separately and let spin til you get whatever size pieces ya want
just don't blend the veggies too much. i've noticed you get a much, close to a drink and for some reason it's not as flavorful
adding ground peppercorns is also a great addition. i personally like braggs better than soy sauce. so if you use soy sauce, add a bit of salt
also. so they don't crack and fall apart, press the edges of the patty so there is a flat edge like a coin. this will make it easier to flip and put on your bun/bread.
best on a sourdough roll w/ thinly sliced onion and however much tomato slices you can stand. and some lettuce or sprouts. tomato really compliments this recipe.

Why not make this this in a slow cooker as a veganloaf? It would beat all of that oil into your body greasing up a pan.

It gets really cold in upstate N.Y here and going raw is just not possible for a lot of us!

A list of all ingredients should have been included. How much of what and when is always welcome.
