With todays technology I know they could make stop motion look fluid and not choppy. I mean with those 1000fps cameras it could easily be done. And if done correctly would beat out cg in my opinion since they would be using something real and tangible.
@DDRGURU56 lol 1000fps cameras wouldnt contribute a thing. You pose a marionette a bit with each frame, so fps has nothing to do with it, you just move it enough frames to play at 24fps. This is called animation lol. I agree tho id like to see more of it with todays budgets and talents having a go. The reason stop motion is not preferred in industry is because its actually incredibly difficult to get it right, expensive and you can only push it so far despite great artistic efforts.
@EmDee3d Ya I realize that. I'm not sure how I was thinking about it at the time I made that comment. But you're right. I guess I was looking at it like they could do all the movements consecutively somehow and have a high fps camera just film it to make it look smoother. I forgot that you would have a guys hands in the video if you did it that way. Lol.
haha, the guitar string story is awesome ! I believed they kind of set the car on a large metal flexboard or something that they could span and click back or something, like a magnified handclicker... Lantierri probably tried that too in vain with unsatisfactory results... jeez even the wave generator didn't pull it off. Classic moviemaking tale !
When I was young, I had heard of DNA and genetics, aged 7, and when I saw Jurassic Park, I thought they actually did it, and made dinosaurs. It seemed a lot more easer to do that than to draw them on computers. Considering I had a Super Nintendo at home, I thought it was a no brainer - they made their own dinosaurs for the movie.
If T-Rex stomped that loudly (as demonstrated by the waves in the water glasses), he would've been a lously predator because Prey would sense T-Rex from miles and miles away, lol!
I like the Jurassic Park movies. I'm just afraid that if they make a JP4, it will look too animated. Just like what they did with the incredible hulk movie. Too much CGI made it look kind of fake, and I don't want a New JP movie to look too fakish. I mean, When I first watched this, I thought dinosaurs were still alive!
@YesWeCantaloupe Seriously. This CGI is amazing. Most movies these days don't even come close. I wonder if it's the talent that was working on JP or if it's just that most movies don't have the time or budget to do this.
@Yukiko222 actually,i saw it on this channel called sy-fy a few days ago,it was really good but i can only remember one scene that was really intense (T-REX car scene) but it was overall good
@reecieboii actually,i saw it on this channel called sy-fy a few days ago,it was really good but i can only remember one scene that was really intense (T-REX car scene) but it was overall good
Hey! Just to remind you JP fans - although we don't have any Brachio's or other "veggiesaurs", you may want to check our dinosaur research website: center4cretstudies.tripod.com/
Who dislikes this? Really, it is such a specific title that you must have searched it and you know it's a documentary, not the actual film. I just don't see how it happens. You obviously wanted to see it in the first place.
i dont get the part with Allen scaling the trench, if it was that deep, how did the T-Rex get out, i know the fences were not electrified, but it shows level ground the scene where the T-Rex breaks out and then a trench-wtf?
@kaijumovies96 hahaha yeah that part with the trench always pisses me off i always wondered if anyone else had picked up on that still a good movie though!!
