I had a similar problem recording music at another show. It all has to do with the location of the microphone with respect to the amp that the vocals come out of. It's tough to get all the sound form this close to the stage. It helps to be farther back, but then you sacrifice video quality. It's tough.

A lot of times, camera mics don't pick up on voices because the sheer volume of the rest of the music tends of overload the mic. The difference in frequencies between human vocals and the instruments doesn't help either. :(

I think in this case it has to do more with the fact that the camera is so close to the stage that it can't pickup the vocals coming out of the mains. Which is also why you're not hearing a lot of kick or snare drum. The camera is just pickup up what is coming off the stage.
