  • No offense but you may want to write yourself a script when you make a video. you repeat everything you say in different words 3 or four times for each sentence. That makes it extremely dificult to hang in there for the whole video. Don't get me wrong, what you are saying is valid and valuable, it's just hard to hang in there with you...

  • i think the spray is only for the full protection

  • How many days of working battery?

  • @100Elin Battery is really bad for the phone, wont last a complete day, at least the use I give it.

  • Search ariund for a video including BestBuy shield and you will find a dude who had a very bad experience while using that service.

  • Thank you for this review. It is very helpful!

  • Thanks!!!

  • Ya the sponge sucks and you cant re apply the next day because unlike the spray, there is no cap. At best buy the only one that they have is the one with the sponge which is really ridiculous to be honest. I dont think I would even call it a sponge cuz its way to cheap to be called that. When I applied this on my ipod I noticed that there were hundreds of these little black dots from the actuall "sponge".

  • What's funny is that the protector van be scratched easily, I was cleaning it with a paper towel and it became damaged, I still have it on my house because I want to take I picture of it and upload it... is not worth the money, I've been using my palm pre without any screen protector, and I have a perfect screen, this new devices are designed to be used with normal tear and wear you wont be able to damage it...

  • dude, theres two diff kits... one with sponge, one with spray

    look on the website

  • Does this shield mess up the functionality of the touch screen?

  • Hello Jessica,

Nope... it wont mess with the touch screen.

However, recently I had to remove the shield as I scratched it while cleaning the palm with some paper towels yep paper towels.

Ive been using the pre without any screen protector for the last 2 months, and to be honest with you, I wont buy a screen protector again.

I poke at the screen a lot and have no scratches, not even slight ones.

  • Not at all, I had better luck installing with the spray bottle that came with my first kit, my second kit after a warranty replacement was the sponge and I just used water in my spray bottle it seems to work better then "dat pece o shite"! Too funny!

  • yeah i just got only the front protector and thought it was just a rectangular part only for the screen, but damn its the whole body of the front? (false advertisement) I only got it because my case i also got for it wont fit with a full body screen body protector. Has anyone been able to put on this screen protector along with a case?

  • I found it fairly easy to install its just like putting on car tint

  • I've used both the sponge and the spray bottle, and I have to say that I like the sponge alot better. Also, to install this onto your pre, you must be PATIENT. Apply it slowly and deliberately. Make sure your hands are clean with dishwash soap (not hand soap) and use a clean area.

  • I agree with you in regards that you need to be PATIENT.... yes... VERY EXTREMELY PATIENT...

    Thanks for your comment.

  • Ok that rubberband idea is great. I have one of the best skins ever on mine at the moment, but I want to redo the corner flaps and that can help.

I have done invisible shield in the past, before they started giving you the spray. A bowl of water with a drop of soap was enough if you just let the water drip off and put it on before it dries.

  • Happy to hear it was helpful!!!

I've heard about the soap water, I'll keep it in mind for my wife's shield...

    Good luck on your redo.

  • How does it make the screen feel?

  • Is not a huge difference, some people have commented that you have to get "used to it", but for me the difference is almost non existent. It has kind of like a very slight rubber feeling to it.

  • I purchased the same one. Mine came with the spray instead of the sponge. No matter what though you can not slide it around. I think that the liquid solution only helps in peeling it off and re applying... also i believe it helps with how the bubbles disappear with time.

it is a very good protector, and i was shocked how the bubbles disappeared over time. it said they would in the manual but i thought it was BS. they really do disappear overtime.

  • Yep, I agree, I never had any bubbles on mine, so that was never an issue, I was able to get everything out using the plastic card, however it does look better after a couple of days, and I have to say that at this point I like it...

  • i like the way you say scissors, lol, sorry, but really great review!

  • Thanks gta, I know... I know, I have a very "distinctive" accent, je je, Thanks for the comment.

  • Cool

  • good review

  • Thanks for the feedback, after ~24 hours is looking much better.

  • how is it for finger prints? same as with out it?

  • It's the same, they're very visible, I find that it attracts more dust particles than without it, or it could be that they are more noticeable.

  • i see. I want to try and find something that is oleophobic

  • well if u just buy it for the screen than u just get the sponge but if u get the whole body protection than u get the spray

  • Thanks for your comment.

However you should receive something useful, the sponge is simply useless, for the rpice you should get the spray.

    It makes no sense...
