Trombone or euphonium, whatever; these guys do this work marvelous justice. Considering that it's being done by a much smaller group than written for, it still manages to come off nicely, a lot more than with many bigger professional groups.
Also remarkable that they take very naturally to a work in an idiom that might not come easily of itself to them.
I would now love to hear the First Suite in this same setting.
Hey Ohtae, can I have the name of the Principal Trombone? I want to look up some of his videos if he has any. By the way, thanks so much for all of these videos. They;ve inspired me since I saw your video quite some time back. I believe it was Christian Lindberg plays Romeo and Juliet. You are a great trombone player and I'm very happy you frequently update from Korea. Oh, I almsot forgot, I noticed you recorded for a commercial. Are you near Seoul, Incheon, or somewhere completely different?
@riceboy47 i haven't even gotten to the dargason solo yet and im pretty sure the trombone soloist is gonna articulate every one of those triplets. :-[
great rendition and all, but the solos in the last movement suffer without the euphonium. we are totally playing this in my highschool and i am totally the Euph!!!
ya, even though trombones are in the same range as baretone, it doesn't have the same mellow tone as it gets into the lower ranges. eventually, it just sounds blatty

@Aleve909 oh, the horn took it, so at least there were slurs. but he sort of blared it.

Love the sound of the horn soloist. Although I hate that the solo cornet is doubled in trombone.

That is, in the third movement.
