This song was written about his dying mother.... it makes me think of my grandmother. She raised me from the time I was born and in 2008, was diagnosed with cancer. Watching her slowly and painfully die was the worst thing to ever happen to me. I had a lot of growing up to do in such a short amount of time... she died in early 2010 after much suffering. During a time of hospitals, doctors, and bad news, this song made me feel at peace. I listened to it every night before bed and I always will
