ok so i have come up with a WAY easier way of how to take screen shots, just click on the power and home button for one sec, seems simple enough, and works, so why is there so many comments if it tells you how to do this in the apple ipod touch sers guide, idk, but i like my idea way better than doing something that both voids your warranty, and is completely useless, and takes a lot of work, and can screw up your ipod :) hope i simplified the vid... but the camera app does seem cool :D

The only other way I know to do this is making it show the iPod app and show "No Service" instead of iPod or whatever other carrier....and I just want the camera app t be on the SpringBoard. But I can't find anything that says "Platforms" or "M68" in the file. I found the liitle UIRole code though. Im on 3.1.1 .......any help?

you're missing the actual hardware for the camera... it doesn't matter what kind of software you have, there is nothing physically on the iPod touch that can allow it to capture images.

SOLUTION! Just go to /System/LibraryCoreDevices/Spr­ingBoard.app and find N45AP.plist. change it to something you'll remember, like N45AP.old. Then, find M68AP.plist and change the M68 to N45. Respring, and you've just made your iPod touch not only have a camera app, but think it's an iPhone!
