@goodhidan lmao yeah that wasn't a good technique at the end and it didn't turn out good. I would have used a mask with a gradient to get that nice apple style reflection. that way it would be easy to edit it.

It makes the background of the layer have NO colour. Otherwise when moving the orange ball, there would be this white box around it. I think it might help make half of the gradient transparent. Dunno.

This is a great effect! When you are teaching someone, it is very important to speak clearly and slowly enough to separate words. I am just a little hard of hearing and although you can hear yourself, your words trail off at the end of the sentence and your speaking under your breath as though you are talking to yourself. Also your microphone is picking up a sound like a motor humming in the background,but I love your tutorial! also, state the selections name instead of "click here." Awesome !

To fade out the reflection I suggest the use of a gradient mask instead of using the eraser tool. The use of a mask enables you to undo or redo the fade until you obtain the desired effect and it can also be used on other images that need to have the same faded reflection, for example when creating buttons for a website.

You have to buy Photoshop to use it (legallly).

However, there's a pretty good alternative that operates a good deal like PS... and that's the GNU Image Manipulation Program, or simple "the Gimp". Since I can't post links, I'll just say Google "Gimp".

That's not a glass effect, it's a flat pancake that you like to make look glossy with the half-moon gradient that you every noob is cloning from each other. A good glass effect make the object actually look like glass and it also doesn't use the boring seen-it-million-times half moon effect...sigh
