  • this is great i am going to buy it to take care of my eyepieces for my telescope. So all you Amateur astronomers, go get the LensPen from Celestron! Clearly a must have at a bargain! It's 15$

  • I glad the on/off button doesn't have to be purchased separately

  • Yet another unnecessary gimmick. Why would one want to clean only the parts the dirt may be on, YOU clean the full sensor or you don’t clean it at all? Small LCD flash light one euro and re test at f16, loop with lights my arse

  • And what thing would be defined as 'mistake'?

  • I find ripping it out the best way to clean it. One time thing...

  • Or get a CANON which cleans it itself!!!

  • @itsmepaul57

All digital SLR cameras have built in sensor cleaning nowadays. They just don't always clean everything - they help reducing dust particles, yes. But they can't replace an effective manual cleaning.

Besides, Olympus was the first manufacturer to implement sensor-cleaning. Their system is called SWF and have won several tests.

    Do your research, fanboy.

  • @CheezeDipper Hey fanboy, what camera do you prefer?

  • @anointedsword

I don't prefer any brand over another. I prefer the one that can give me most bang for the buck, be it Sony, Canon, Nikon, Pentax or Olympus. I don't care.

Right now I'm using a Sony Alpha 700+ a backup A300. Besides their are good cameras for decent prices I like that Sony use Info-Lithium batteries that show battery life in % + the A300's flipable screen.

I do however miss Canon and especially Nikon's fast and very quiet USM and SWM. Sony's own SSM are only in very few lenses.

  • I also found out the rocket blower is great for getting dirt off the mirror under the viewfinder , i found little bits of dirt showing in my viewfinder and since i needed to do the sensor for the first time (Yes i was really nervous) so i blasted some air on the mirror for the viewfinder and it's now as clean as the day i bought it.

  • I had nasty marks on my sensor , so i carefully used the lensklear II and took it from corner to corner on the sensor and it seems fine the camera works well and like others suggested i did not buy one of those £35.00 or $80.00 loupes i took a flashlight and looked in the chamber and found out that as i say a massive part of the sensor was mucky , most of it came off with the Rocket blower. and my shots at F22 on a patterned wall show no sign of dust or marks.

  • Can you tell me if there is a way to clean the LensPen after regular use without damaging it?

  • I got this and the sensorklear for like $35....not bad, it works great!

  • Think of how expensive it is..

  • It looks like he's doing dentistry :P

  • i love nikon D60 DSLR CAMERA AND TO>>>>>!!!!?

  • Everyone is afraid of cleaning sensors. It is called sensorities.

  • I've used the pen on a 5D without the stupid loupe thing, it works great. If you take an unfocused shot of a blank wall at f22 and locate your dust particles, just invert their location to determine roughly where the dust is on your sensor. Then just use a regular small flashlight. No need to waste $80 on a glorified magnifying glass.

  • Yes you are right, I'm also using the lenspen alone only can clean the sensor without using the magnifying.

  • @dangit360 You heard gixxer4646, 'One mistake and your senzor is history.'

  • @dangit360 Well if you already paid these 3k for the camera and all the lenses, $80 isn't that much is it?

  • One mistake and your senzor is history.

  • @gixxer4646

    what mistake?
