  • what about the buttstock ?

  • can the barrel be removed from the body ??

  • @0lone0wolf0

Not without gunsmithing. The barrel is pressed in and counter-pined.

  • "No disassemble! No disassemble!"

  • nice tiger how much was it?

  • how much you want for that gun ;)

  • Don't you hate it when all the SVD videos around are airsoft?

  • who the hell would mistake this for an Ak47!

  • Всё хорошо, только это не СВД а карабин Тигр:)

  • does the barrel screw off?

  • Where did u get the scope mount plz I have no idea

  • Hi please reply me.

what is the diference with the Civil and military version ?

  • how much did this tigr cost you??

  • Listen please, I received a dragunov Svd airsoft sniper. I also purchased a sniper scope for this, the PSO-1 and I find it almost impossible to place on without a manual that never came for either the sniper nor the scope. Could you please tell me how you fixed your scope yet I believe it is not a PS0-1.

  • Could you use the SVD as a simple rifle? or isn't it made for that?

  • i jus sold one i made alone home bought piece by piece in time and i had to sell it but am gonna get soon new one too made alone home i like clean russian version

  • thx for the vid , can it be disassembly more than that ?

  • hey i was wondering how would u resight and get the aimming of it right?? well maybe if u can give me some lesson on how to use the scope and all heh

  • hey guys i need some help here. I just got this gun today and everytime i cock it the bbs roll out of the barrel. i am making sure i am pulling the bolt all the way back. is there something wrong with the mag? or is it the gun?

  • @greencheesemonk

Sorry dude, this is not a bb-gun, this is the real deal ;)

    RegardZ!

  • @ok131583 cool uve got a real dragunov i thought it was real

  • @ok131583 I suppose greencheesemonk is an example of what toy replicas have done to the firearms community. great video and I've always wondered about the Dragunov, thanks for the info!

  • @greencheesemonk I just got the airsoft gun aswell ...... you need to pull the bolt back faster to make sure it only chambers one bb

  • @greencheesemonk

If you have this exact gun.. I recommend using 7.62x54Rmm Rifle Rounds.

  • свдс

  • is there a website were they sell svd dragunov rifles and how much r they

  • hey, i was wondering if the pisstol grip component of the stock was hollow. i'm wanting to buy a dragunov stock and put it on a mindblowingly realistic airsoft gun would it work? P.S i want no paintballers saying that airsoft sucks, i am no part of that rivalry.

  • ummm... im 14, in the US, and i really want one of these... or one like it... where can i get one:) lol i have to be 21 or 18... im not sure if this is considered an assault rifle or not because it is semi-auto... but i can get my dad to buy me one... what is the best type of dragunov to get and why? thanks lol:)

  • 1:47 JANDALS! What a New Zealander! ;D

  • Снайперская винтовка Драгунова

  • very good video. You should get a Makarov pistol like me.

  • Hey nice vid!, How easy is it to replace the inner barrel with something like lets say a Madbull 650mm 6.03 tightbore? I was thinking of getting one and tuning probably the barell, Hop nub/rubber and giving it a good lube so I can use it at UK sites (500fps max). However not owning one of these i'm doing loads of research into one! Many thanks!

  • @ChrizFromUK

    Huh?!

Dude, this is a real gun, not Air Soft.

    I don't mean any disrespect though :)

  • @ok131583 Don't mind the english pussies lol they deserve no respect, none whatsoever :D

As for the vid thanks for posting it, not so many SVD guides. I've had many AK's and SKS's of both russian and non-russian manufacture, and love the durability and ruggedness of these types, especially when compared to fragile and weak systems such as the m4 series.

I always wanted an SVD but unfortunately I could never get one. It's a real beauty.

Does Izhmash export parts to the EU though?

  • @762full Don't you have some Nazi gold you should be hiding or something? :) Yes Izhmash export to the EU, not sure who the Swiss distributor would be though.

  • @jamespfearn Did I ask you? For that matter, what would an Englishman know about this very un-english subject?

I don't do my shopping at Toy R Us lol

I also have a number of Jewish relatives (I'm atheist) so if there is gold anywhere to be found, nazi or not, I wouldn mind helping myself to it. You can't make any money in the UK though (of all things), they even limit the note denominations to 50, and won't accept 500 eur or 1000 chf notes.

  • @762full What's a very un-English subject? You don't know much about England do you?

  • @jamespfearn To the contrary, I visit London every 10 months or so, read (English) media more than I do US or even EU media, and have met a great number of English people.

My report is the following: out of every nationality I have come across, the English are the ones that I can never understand. Extremely squeamish and weak, and will disagree with me on almost every single issue I can think of. In most places I am friends with at least part of the population, but the English I know too well.

  • For a simpler response, seeing as how the only English that have held an actual weapon in their hands would be a member of Army, or the 600 man SAS, or a small minority of police officers, then I yes, I can safely say that the English are not a martial people.

If you want to judge a country or a culture, examine the average citizen. Then you can see deep into the country's veins.

In the case of England, I see effeminate little wimps, and loud and whorish women.

    There, I said it.

  • @762full Hahaha. You're a card aren't you? You're own statement making my point, you can't understand us.

What do you know of firearms laws here in the UK? You do know that legally we can own rifles, shotguns, pistols. You make it sound like we've never seen a real firearm before let alone use them. These "wimps", would they be the same ones who stood up to certain ideology when Europe needed them most? Apart from financing war and making cheese and clocks what exactly have the Swiss done?

  • @jamespfearn I know of the Uk gun laws great detail, and no, you may not own anything other than a double break open shotgun without connections with the police (perhaps prince harry can manage that). Famously, the olympic shooting team from the UK had to practice outside the country because their air (I repeat, air, as in toy) pistols were illegal. So no, you may not own pistols and self loading rifles.

  • The English stand up? they were hiding in a corner-yet opening their (very) big mouth while pimp daddy USA bailed them out twice, and is owner and handler to this day. If it were not them, then it would be Germany or even India instead. What they love to do is fool themselves into thinking that they are some sort of glorious nation.

Far closer to a (not very) laughable joke.

  • @762full As I say, you don't know much. Self loading rifles of certain calibre are illegal post Hungerford. Rifles, pistols and all shotguns (pump, auto, ou and sbs) can be owned legally either on Sect 5 or with good enough reason. We are in agreement with the way our National Sportsmen and women are treated with regards to shooting sports; a complete farce. Nice view of history there chap, lets face it the only reason you haven't been conquered is a fluke of geography, oh and your "neutrality".

  • @jamespfearn The country itself is a farce, and so is your downplaying of this issue. Authorization to have pistols and rifles are in practice only given to the Army and Police by the Courts, and possibly the influential among the elite. Getting a shotgun certificate has so many regulations and technicalities is enough to make a self-respecting person cringe.

  • @762full I'm sorry but you are very wrong. Anyone who stalks animals has good enough reason to carry a pistol legally. There are documented cases in the courts for this. Shotgun certificates and Firearms certificates are not difficult to obtain provided a Police interview is passed, you have reasonable referees, have no medical grounds for dismissal and have good reason to shoot.

  • @jamesp I read these procedures. Basically you need your own gang to make statements on your behalf, give the police a map to your gunsafe (an approved model) in your home, prepare for random and spontaneous police visits and seizures whenever they want, bypass a suspicious and skeptical police chief, and of course, "a good reason." Any pistol over .22 is also not possible for such survivors.

Perhaps you have proven my point for me, England has the most restrictive gun law in this hemisphere

  • Carrying blades on your person is also illegal there.

The typical Englishman is terrified of a vegetable peeler coincidentally.

  • @762full I think you need your glasses on next time you want to read anything. No statements are "required", only referees who may or may not be contacted. I don't see an issue with having firearms secure in anyones home. The Police are not allowed to "randomly" search. Firearms Police over here aren't skeptical, most of them are shooters themselves. .45 1911 is perfectly legal for stalkers who may require a side arm for humane dispatch. I agree the gun laws are restrictive but not impossible.

  • @jamespfearn They are more than restrictive, and they are all but impossible. Handguns are even in the same category as MG's. Even airguns and imitation (toy) weapons are regulated.

Self defense with the firearms is also prohibited, a farmer with a double barrel shotgun wounded two burglars with knives, only to be jailed for life without parole. The burglars served 3 and 6 respectively, and are back on the street. Everyone there is highly suspicious of gun owners and resent arms in general.

  • where did you get one? I would love to get my hands one, definitely a gun I would like.

  • I'm assuming you paid a high price for the rifle, unless you do not live in the US. Was it worth the money, Comrade?

  • hey man nice vid but i have a question . . .why the hell do u have a dragunov??? lol its soo randon u look like u have a nice house and idk it just looks odd lol

  • you have nice acsent russain how long did you live there and wen did you come to america

  • No SVD!........ Tiger!!!

  • do u have to build it when u get it or is it already built

  • Thats a very nice finish you have on it. It seems to glossy to be factory, is it? Did you buy yours before the clinton ban?

  • Привет пожалусто ответ мне я живу в америке и я хочу свд но здес нету настояшего свд нотябы купить как у тебу скожи где купить .спосиба

  • Unfortunately, we can't import these into the US anymore. Maybe if enough people send letters to the ATF asking for it, they may reconsider.

  • wow thats a really nice gun. how much did you pay for it??

  • sweeeet thanks dude im gunna get one for sure 8D

  • do you have to resight the scope in once you take it off

  • NO, that is the beauty of it :)

  • omg what a stupit question man, he said it in the video!

  • real gun ?

  • yes

  • Beautiful rifle. Thanks for showing us.

  • quick question how do i go about finding a dragunov and purchasing one cause i cant find anything on it

  • Look on gunbroker . com

    Watch my other SVD video:

    /watch?v=wuOWS__AYB4

That NDM-86 I bought there few months ago for about 4G

There you can also find plenty of accessories.

    :)

  • @ok131583 YES! A RUSSIAN GUY TAKING APART A DRAGUNOV. THIS IS MY FAVORITE VIDEO NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • lol, i know right?!?!?!

  • hey uh where you get that, how much and how much are the 7.62 cal bullets???

  • gunbroker . com

Ammo is plentiful at aimsurplus and cheaperthendirt @ about $100 per 440rd can

  • lol, looks like a paintball gun with a scope, just saying

  • may I suggest glasses?

  • lol, i got a paint ball gun and rifles and shot guns and junk and it looks more like a paintball gun

  • you with your paintball gun and me with this, who do you think is gonna win? >)

  • humm idk it would be a close one =p

  • depends on if you have any ammo :D

  • :))

  • it just doesn't look good with the original wood...

  • Smidge splek un shme SVD, £1,000! Dradge blesk dra gradge blashka shred. Ploske ronge un dra shmakenskra!!!!!!

  • SVD looks amazing. Now as it is one of 'black' series it looks even better.

  • i always wanted one of these

i dont know why they look so bad ass

  • it might be the stock it has a nice shape to it

  • i love anything witht a kalashnikov action i guesse

  • By that logic you would hate the SVD, considering it has nothing in common with anything Kalashnikov designed.

  • The Dragunov is an original rifle design for several reasons. First, it was not meant for highly trained and specialized sniper teams, but rather for designated marksmen, spread in every basic infantry unit. In every platoon of Warsaw Pact troops, there was a Dragunov rifle marksman. In the DDR arsenals alone, there were almost 2,000 Dragunov rifles,

  • while in many western armies there was not even a single sniper rifle except in special forces units (as example, in the Italian Army until the 1990s), but in Warsaw Pact troop formations, the Dragunov marksmen were widespread among the regular units

  • Initially they were not wide speard, before Afghan there was one per platoon. During the war they started adding more and more. Until finally during Chechnya Russian units were flooded with these. U.S. is pretty much going through the same experience in Iraq and Afghanistan, with the reintroduction of the M14 for the designated marksman role.

  • thank you i like to learn

  • i stand corrected the action bares more in common with the sks but where it is similiar wtih ak47 is that it is made by genius to be used by the grunt

simple primitive durable effective like most soviet era weapons

  • Pretty much, except it isn't simple or primitive. It's a rather complex gun for something made by Soviets.

  • perhaps primitive was an inaccurate term

, perhaps simple or basic is better

  • Great vid other than that!

  • Not to be "One of those people," but 1st of all he took off the scope first rather than the magazine, but before removing the magazine, the firearm should've been cleared and checked making sure there were no rounds in the chamber, and removing them if there were. 2nd, that SVD front sight is in no way similar to the AK type rifles, but the entire receiver is very similar, not just the fire selecter. Once again I don't want to be "One of those people," just adding some constructive criticism.

  • Wish I could get a real dragunov. Very cool looking rifle. Would like the Chinese version which shoots the more accurate American 308 nato round. They are so expensive to get now. They would sell like hotcakes if the ban were lifted.

  • no !!!!

  • Can you buy a military version of an SVD legally in any country?

  • In New Zealand, yes. Probably the Tigr variant, but then, they're made by Izmash.

  • In Spain, but no one sell,.Russians not export any SVD, only Tigr

  • they are sold in countries who are loose on guns, like US and communist countries

  • I thought the barrel looked abit short to be honest lol

  • im no expert but i think the sporting version has a shorter barrel, and the miltary version has a long barrel

  • Never mind, I just saw you remove the handguard. :P

  • Now I'm planning on purchasing the Dragunov, my question is; can I replace the handguard, and stock if the wood ever ruins?

    Thanks.

  • So your rifle worth alot of money because few ppl have one and import is banned right? You're a lucky owner

  • In US SVD are illegal? Or you dont have where to buy one because those rifles were banned?

  • It is illegal to import SVD (Dragunov Tiger too), but if it is already in the country legally (from before 1994) if is OK...

  • whats the going price on the Tigr?

  • 4,000 used. New is about 7,000. The reason why this is so high is because they are no longer imported in the US. So, whatever is here, is all we get.

  • how can i describe the ak series?ugly but sexy?

  • i hope that obama wont take them..

  • he will

  • WHAT????!!!

He will take it by what?

  • He has a long list of more important things to do than take our guns.

  • lol how can u mistake it for AK 47, it has a scope, and i didnt shoot one of those, but i can imagine that u wont hit a thing with a scope on ur AK 47

  • well first of all you can put a scope on just about any rifle you want. second of all, an ak isnt as inaccurate as you think.

  • well that is the 'well known thing' but if you are trained properly to use them and can control the recoil they are good snipers, the Greek army use AK-47s with scopes as the standard issue sniper rifle.

  • you change it to semi auto and it shoots very well

  • If your home town is Moscow USSR and you live in the United States how were you able to obtain a rifle like this?

I would love to own a rifle like this.

  • bought it on line at gunbroker dot kom

although importation of them was banned 16 years ago, there is a good number of them still changing hands here in the states. In Russia, these are perfectly legal to buy (with a license).

last i checked, in GB as private citizen you can only own castrated version of AK or SVD (i.e. with gas system permanently disabled). mi feel sorry fi al'a ya :(

  • I love the wood one better, but hell....either way it is still sexy

  • That is an incredible design! M-16s take hours to field strip like that, but you completely field stripped it in less than ten minutes. I hope the newer AK-series rifles are that easy to maintain.

  • cooooooooooool ......................i want one

  • wen i got my svd , i nearly cried , shootin it is wayyyyyy better dan sex !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You must be married then ;-)))

  • man sex is beter then any thing but rifles is 2nd on the list :)

  • one of the best milatry Sniper Rifle in the world

  • Folding butt stock on a sniper rifle? Wtf?

  • Im pretty sure this is the "TIGER" version. I have a PSL-3 with the wood stock. Great rifle either way!

  • This is the civilian model, the Tigr, not tiger, but tigr version. Tigr is the Russian word for Tiger, pronounced T-ee-ger, long E.

  • I can never stop jacking off to that thing.

  • By the way...the steel finish is really not going for me I like wood

  • I never heard of someone getting "confused" with an AK- to an SVD....some see an SVD and think "hey that looks like it was made by the same company"

  • Comadante Hugo comprO unas 5000 hace poco...

  • how much ?

  • Are you really Russian? Why did you come to America?

  • He is not Russian, he speaks with accent.

  • nice review and flip flops :)

  • Ha Ha Ha Ha.... fucking A.... :-))

  • very good review. 5 stars

  • This gun reminds me of the Syphon Filter games. It always came with a night vision.

  • LOL, ROEMAR!!! that final boss dude.

  • where did you get one?

  • That's the name of the rifle dumbass.

  • sorry tiger

  • men why not tell the truth your rifle is a tiguer not svd real

the real svd the barreled is more complex and more heavy, and you 5 round magazine and real piston is more slim for the tiguer

  • WTF?@ r u deaf?try to listen what he says and then attempt to comment on the shit you made up

  • that man is russian

  • how the hell do you get an SVD confused with an AK-47?!?!! you gotta be unbelievably stupid... the clip is about 4 times shorter, the barrel is a foot longer, and the scope is fkn huge, there is no way to get it confused with an AK

  • ... Not to mention that the internals work different. And that was precisely the point for this video. That Dragunov is NOT an AK derivative...

  • I had a friend telling a story about how he found a m16 with a handmade wooden stock from a Vietcong fighter. The idiot that works with us asks, "Did it look like an AK-47?" to which he replied, "Nope. Looked like an M16 with a wooden stock."

  • DUUUUUUH

  • Yep.

  • Nice vid.

  • sweet

  • Is the metal blued?

  • Honestly, I am not sure. It is almost "TOO BLACK" for any blued rifle I have ever seen. On the other hand, this rifle's coat is VERY fine (when compared to my Saiga and Bulgarian AK-74, and RPK-74), thin and strong for most painted guns.

  • Dude you shouldnt have shown that video to people.. ignorance is a bliss.. im pro keeping the idea for my self only.

  • nice video.. so AK and Dragunov aren't the same huh.. they just look the same but they aren't.. in my opinion even though its not the best Dragunov is the sexiest sniper rifle.. you can even see them in animes

  • SVD looks like the VSS Vintorez =OOOO

  • Very nice rifle! And good video. Makes more sense when you see some one else do it.

  • I am not forcing you to watch my videos...

  • Hey Drake,

Rehurse ?? did you mean "rehearse" ?

Termanolagy ?? did you mean "terminology" ?

Maybe you should rehearse something ..... spelling might be an appropriate topic.

  • the svd is basicly the sniper version of the ak-47 or ak-74

  • Were you watching the video?

    If so, were you listening?

The whole point of it was to sho that AK and SVD has almost nothing in common other than some cosmetic similarities.

    :-)

  • wow i didnt know it has this kind of system, i did my share of ak-47 disassembly, but this system is not the same.... i guess it makes less kick, then the ak-47 cause in the ak the bolt is attached to the long piston that moves. but here just a spring and the bolt :D
